I am slowly healing from my hip injury, but I am impatient, so it feels like it’s taking forever to get back to normal! While I obsess about the speed I’m healing, let’s take a look at what’s on television to distract me.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of my favorite moments of the entire week because it makes me giggle from start to finish. Last week, we learned that not only does Jake keep his mail in a bathtub (why didn’t I think of that?!), but that he is terrible with money and was going to lose his apartment. The shocking side of things was that Gena is actually extremely good with money and offered to buy Jake’s apartment and rent it back to him. I love that the captain did evaluations of the crew and that the sergeant went to bat for them all, saying that they are a gem of a team. That’s the thing about this show… It’s not just funny. There is also great character growth from an amazing cast that leaves us loving them more week after week. Honestly, if you haven’t tuned in yet, you are missing out on some incredible television.
On tonight’s episode, “Tactical Village,” the entire precinct heads to a mandatory training course, where Amy runs into Teddy (guest star Kyle Bornheimer), a fellow officer she once dated.
To see how the precinct behaves in public, tune in to FOX at 9:30/8:30c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing NCIS: LA, NCIS, Mind Games, Person of Interest, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Glee, New Girl, About a Boy, Growing Up Fisher, Chicago Fire, Chopped, and The Voice.

I don’t watch a lot of reality TV aside from cooking shows, but one I got into last season is The Little Couple. I love Bill & Jen, both of whom are under four feet tall, and their journey to becoming a family has been a joy to watch. It’s also been a sad journey. They had trouble conceiving, even with in vitro, so they finally decided to adopt. Last season, they went to China and adopted their son—also a little person—whom they named Will. This season, they will be adopting a little girl from India—another little person—whom they named Zoey. This season, they will also be dealing with some health issues of their own, in addition to the problems Will and Zoey have: Jen was diagnosed with cancer between seasons of the show. I’m so glad this show is back, and I can’t wait to finally meet Zoey and catch up with their lives.
On tonight’s episode, “Zoey Makes 4,” after over a year of planning and waiting, Bill & Jen are finally leaving for India to pick up their adopted daughter, Zoey. The couple has spent months preparing Will for Zoey’s arrival, but have no idea how the new siblings will react to each other.
See how the first family meetings go tonight on TLC at 10/9c.
The Goldbergs is finally back after a month away. When we last saw the family, Erica learned that her mom was reading her diary, so she wrote a fake entry to catch her in the act. Meanwhile, Barry convinced Adam that he had deeper feelings for his best friend Emmy, but after some awkward sexual tension, they both agreed that they were, in fact, just friends.
One thing this series always does well is mixing in fun 80s pop culture and movie references. So I’m really excited for tonight’s episode, as it centers around one of my favorite films of 1980-something—The Goonies! I can’t wait to see how this episode plays out! I really hope the ratings for The Goldbergs ‘R’ Good Enough to earn this hilarious series a second season!
On tonight’s episode, “Goldbergs Never Say Die!,” Adam goes on a Goonies-inspired treasure hunt for his grandmother’s missing jewelry, with the help of his siblings and friends.
See if Adam finds what he’s searching for tonight on ABC at 9:01/8:01c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Trophy Wife, Mind Games, About a Boy, Growing Up Fisher, Glee, New Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Supernatural, Chopped, Cougar Town, Face Off, Carvers, and Kroll Show.

My second pick tonight is Rizzoli & Isles, simply because I really, really love this show. Last week, Casey & Jane tried hard to figure out their relationship, but Jane was in the middle of a kidnapping case when Casey was called back from leave early, which meant nothing got resolved. Jane was wearing the engagement ring, even though she hasn’t said yes or no. I truly hope they’ll be able to work it out because he gives her a softness that she needs, and they’re just too cute together. Speaking of the kidnapping… How creepy was it to have kidnapping clowns?! That was a case that I couldn’t help but feel empathy for the guy who did the current kidnapping and killed the original bad clown. Yes, he traumatized some kids, and yes, he murdered the bad guy, but…
On tonight’s episode, “Just Push Play,” a singer and guitar player is brutally and mysteriously stabbed in a bar. As details emerge in the case, the squad soon realizes that the victim had something to hide. Meanwhile, Jane’s dad (guest star Chaz Palminteri) returns after being gone for more than a year. And he’s got some shocking news.
Find out what shocking news Jane’s father has tonight on TNT at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing NCIS, NCIS: LA, About a Boy, The Goldbergs, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Growing Up Fisher, Trophy Wife, Chicago Fire, Chopped, Cougar Town, Mind Games, & Person of Interest. (Holy crap, that’s a lot!)
