My daughters have recently gotten interested in those rainbow loom bracelets and making them, so I got them all the stuff they need to make them. I’m surprised at how intricate the jewelry is that you can make from all those tiny little rubber bands, but the one thing this new fad has taught me is…I’m getting old. Honestly, I tried to do it with them, but for the life of me, I have realized I’m old and not very crafty. 🙂 So while I wallow in the knowledge that the newest fads are simply too complicated for me, let’s see what we’re recommending to soothe my ego and entertain the rest of you.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been a favorite of mine since it premiered, and I look forward to it weekly. I adore the cast to no end, but my favorite characters have to be Fitz and Simmons. I just love their quirky ways and the chemistry. Last week’s episode was about saving Skye, but in the end, they ended up giving her the same stuff that Coulson got to bring him back to life. We found out that the stuff given comes from the half body of Prometheus, which was just plain creepy. The only thing I’m not enjoying about the show is how much they are using it to pimp out the new Captain America movie coming out. I’ll go see that movie, too, but let me watch the show without the added plugs for Captain America is all I’m saying.
On tonight’s episode, “Yes Men,” Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) helps team battle Lorelei, a deadly seductress who escaped from Asgard.
To see if the sexual allure of Lorelei will cause the team to crumble, tune in to ABC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Glee, The Voice, Mind Games, The Goldbergs, Chicago Fire, The Little Couple, and New Girl.

I really love The Goldbergs. It takes me back to my childhood with everything 80s. Last week was so adorable. When Beverly realized Pops was spending money hand over fist, she told him that she was taking over his finances. He balked until she (with Adam’s help) convinced him that he really did need the help. Speaking of Adam, it was all about The Goonies for him. He was obsessed with the movie, going so far as to get his friends and siblings to help play all the characters in search of treasure, not knowing that Erica & Barry had set him up. In the end, they all worked together to help find the missing jewelry that Pops had hidden somewhere. It was very cute.
On tonight’s episode, “Lame Gretzky,” even though he is terrible, Adam tries his best at ice hockey and hopes to impress Murray. Likewise, Murray works hard to show he enjoys watching Adam make home movies. Later, after starting a fight on the ice during a game, Adam gets suspended from playing hockey and admits to Murray his real intentions. Meanwhile, Beverly drives Erica crazy about her S.A.T.s.
See Adam and Murry bond tonight on ABC at 9:01/8:01c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Rizzoli & Isles, About a Boy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Growing Up Fisher, Trophy Wife, Chicago Fire, Cougar Town, The Little Couple, & Mind Games.
Last week, Brooklyn Nine-Nine brought a little more of the heart with the humor. After meeting Santiago’s ex-boyfriend, Peralta decided to take the group’s Tactical Village Day competition seriously, in order to impress Amy. Meanwhile, after secretly tormenting Boyle, Rosa finally admitted that she was upset that he didn’t invite her to his wedding, and Gina got the captain hooked on a Kwazy Cupcakes phone game.
I really enjoyed last week’s episode because it proved that they can tone down Peralta’s craziness (not that he needs it) and still remain a lot of fun. The stuff with the captain’s obsession with the Candy Crush-like game was great! And it was also nice to see Jake and Amy get a little closer.
On tonight’s episode, “Fancy Brugdom,” Charles asks Jake to be the best man at his wedding, a role that requires Jake’s involvement in planning. Elsewhere, Terry, Amy, and Gina start a new extreme diet, and Rosa makes a genuine apology—with some assistance from Holt.
Find out why Rosa is apologizing and to whom on FOX at 9:30/8:30c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife, Mind Games, About a Boy, Growing Up Fisher, Glee, New Girl, Cougar Town, Chrisley Knows Best, Face Off, and Kroll Show.
With the return of Glee, the show has also returned to a very rich vein in casting Santana as Rachel’s understudy in Funny Girl. Naya Rivera and Lea Michele really sell their fight, and it will be interesting to see how this continues, because they will need each other in the end. But tonight, the focus shifts to Lima and the Glee club, who have been heading towards this year’s Nationals and graduation.
On tonight’s episode, “City of Angels,” the members of New Directions travel to Los Angeles to compete in Nationals and bring with them two very special guests.
Find out who and how they perform on FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Cougar Town.
