I woke up to another snowstorm Wednesday, and honestly, I wasn’t even surprised because it seems Mother Nature has decided we all need to freeze for the rest of the year. Spring seems like it’s never coming. While I bundle up and accept the doom of the ice age, let’s see we’re recommending on TV tonight to amuse us & you.
Blue Bloods has been on fire this season and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. Last week’s episode had Danny riding the desk doing paperwork, when he received a call from a distraught woman named Jill. Jill was looking for the detective that previously worked that desk, but instead found Danny, and she was just calling to tell them that because of their mistakes, she was going to end her life. Turns out her parents were killed by a drunk driver, and that drunk driver got out of jail early, so she was going to kill him and then kill herself. Danny managed to piece everything together and get to her before she did anything drastic, saving her and the scumbag who killed her parents. I love when Danny is in his fierce hero mode. It’s not only productive, but pretty damn sexy, too. We also saw Jamie struggle with the fact that he hasn’t made detective yet, when everyone else in his family had been out of the uniform after only 3 years on the beat. He almost went off book to make a name for himself, but he reined himself in just in time to do the right thing. In my opinion, Jamie is going to be a fantastic detective, but for the sake of the story, it works best for him to be a beat cop for now. No matter what position they’re in, I love all the Regan family and look forward to my weekly dose of family crime fighting.
On tonight’s episode, “Knockout Game,” Danny and Baez investigate when an expectant mother is a victim of a “knockout game,” in which teenagers punch unsuspecting civilians in the head. Meanwhile, Frank wrestles with promoting an officer when he thinks it can be viewed as favoritism.
To see if Frank decides to throw caution to the wind and promote an officer (Jamie?), tune in to CBS tonight at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Grimm, Hawaii Five-0, and Enlisted.

How much do I love Jorge Garcia on Hawaii Five-0 (which, along with a multitude of other shows, CBS renewed yesterday!)? Seriously. His character Jerry cracks me up. Last week’s episode was a good one, starting with a honeymooning couple fishing on a charter boat and ending up killed after they witnessed a secret Chinese satellite plummeting into the ocean. Not only was Jerry involved—he knew about the sattelite and clued Steve & crew in—but Danny’s mom was back, as well. Unbeknownest to Danny, Steve had set it up for Mrs. Williams to go on a ride-along with Captain Grover. The best parts were how much fun she had at the shooting simulation and Danny’s reaction to everything.
On tonight’s episode, “Ma lalo o ka ‘ili (Beneath the Surface),” Five-0 aims to uncovers the sordid truth when a girl is taken from her home and her father is shot in the process. Meanwhile, Danny tries to get his parents back together, and Jerry deciphers a code he found on the bottom of McGarrett’s champ box. Melanie Griffith, Jorge Garcia, & Tom Berenger guest star.
See what Jerry can decipher and if Danny works his magic tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

Whose Line Is It Anyway? premieres next week (YAY!), but tonight, we get an extra special treat. Two of that show’s funniest stars, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, have a special on The CW, Colin & Brad: Two Man Group, which is sure to be a heck of a lot of fun. According to The CW, “masters of improv comedy, Colin and Brad have performed their outrageous, one-of-a-kind show to sold-out audiences all over the country. Using nothing but their lightning fast wits and some audience volunteers, Colin and Brad create pandemonium on the spot in one of the funniest live shows ever filmed.”
See why they are two of my favorite funny men tonight on The CW at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Neighbors, Enlisted, Grimm, Raising Hope, & Blue Bloods.
