I feel SO nervous today. My 16yo starts his very first job today (Wednesday, not Tuesday, as I write this. 😉 ), working a full 8-hour shift from 10-7 at a store that’s kind of a cross between Best Buy & Radio Shack. He’s excited, but nervous, of course, but I’m downright terrified. *laugh* Thankfully, no matter how today goes, there’s a few good things on to watch tonight. Whether I’ll be celebrating with some laughs or crying into my blanket is up in the air. Check out what Megan & I are recommending, either way. 🙂
TV Land’s newest original comedy, Jennifer Falls, starts tonight, and I have high hopes for it, especially considering it stars Jaime Pressly & Jessica Walter, not to mention Ethan Suplee & Missi Pyle. I’ve loved Jaime & Ethan in everything, Jessica Walter is great, and Missi is really entertaining and quirky. The show revolves around Jennifer Doyle (Pressly), a former high-powered executive who has fallen and hit every bump on the way down to rock bottom. With her teenage daughter in tow, Jennifer moves back in with her mother (Walter) and takes a job in the bar owned by her meek brother (Suplee) and passive-aggressive sister-in-law (Nora Kirkpatrick) as a last resort. There, she reunites with her former best friend (Pyle), who turns out to be holding quite a grudge. But every cloud has a silver lining: there’s nowhere to go but up.
On tonight’s episode, “Pilot,” a single mother is forced to move in with her mother and work in her brother’s sports bar.
See if this new comedy’s for you tonight on TV Land at 10:30/9:30c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing So You Think You Can Dance, Restaurant Stakeout, Hot in Cleveland, & Motive.

My love for So You Think You Can Dance is still going strong, even after they added Justin Bieber to introduce the dance crews. That was almost enough to make me stop watching. One thing is for sure: Bieber is still as annoying as ever, and he makes me want to stab my television. Violent thoughts aside, last week’s episode was fabulous. I loved watching all the amazing auditions, but I also really enjoy how many background stories we got this season. Truth be told, I had a box of Kleenex nearby and had to use it a couple of times. At the end of the day, I can grimace through the nasty addition of Justin Bieber because the talent is still as amazing as it always was.
On tonight’s episode, “Auditions #2,” the search for “America’s Favorite Dancer” heads to Chicago and Los Angeles.
To see if this week can live up to last week and if Bieber makes me stab my TV, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching The 100 and Restaurant Stakeout.
