The weekend’s over, and I’m kinda sad to see it go. Saturday was okay, but Sunday seemed to fly by, and it was over before I blinked, I swear. Tonight is a relatively light night for new TV, especially given the rest of the week, but there are some good things on, so check out our recommendations. 🙂
One thing I don’t recommend usually is Mystery Diners on Food Network. If you haven’t seen it, basically it’s this: Restaurants call the Mystery Diners company. The top guy, Charles, arranges to cover their entire restaurant with hidden cameras. He usually sets up one of his employees to go undercover as either a server or something similar. Then during the dinner service, he’ll have another mystery diner or two go in as customers or vendors, and they try to catch one or more of the employees doing something naughty, whether it’s stealing from the restaurant, from the customers, or just generally acting inappropriately. Some of the things I’ve seen on this show absolutely amaze me. I think one of my favorite ones was at one of those restaurants where they blindfold all the customers so they have to eat without sight. The servers were making inappropriate actions to the customers right beside them, going through people’s purses, eating off customers’ plates and drinking from their glasses… It was horrible. You couldn’t help but laugh because it was so bad. The best part, though, is when they bring the offenders back to the viewing room and show them all the evidence, and the offenders are almost always indignant, like, “How could you do this to me? I didn’t do anything wrong!” *snort*
This is a great show to just veg out to when you want something quick and easy to watch. I love it.
On tonight’s episode, “Heavy Lifting,” the Mystery Diners travel to Las Vegas to assist the owners of a healthy restaurant who notice there are discrepancies with their supply of expensive protein supplements.
See where the supplements are going tonight on Food Network at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing MasterChef, Rewrapped, Whose Line is it Anyway?, American Ninja Warrior, Major Crimes, Longmire, & Murder in the First.

MasterChef is already proving yet again how incredible some of these home cooks are. I was surprised when Ahran won the mystery box on last week’s episode, but her spicy seafood stew did look delicious. Personally, I enjoy cooking with live seafood because the taste is just so much stronger and it helps make the dishes burst with flavor. If I had to choose a favorite, I don’t have a strong leader yet, but I do, however, dislike Leslie and Courtney quite a bit. Those two have such terrible attitudes and overall lack of a nice personality.
On tonight’s episode, “Top 17 Compete,” in the next team challenge, contestants must prepare an upscale seafood menu for a beachfront wedding. After an emotional challenge, tensions are high, but both teams complete their dinner for the wedding guests. The team who most successfully finishes the dinner is safe from elimination, while the losing team faces the pressure test featuring a traditional American meal with steak and fries.
Find out which chef comes to the end of their time tonight at 8/7c on Fox.
I’ll also be watching American Ninja Warrior, Teen Wolf, 24: Live Another Day, and Mistresses.
Tonight, Teen Wolf returns for a fourth season. When we last visited Beacon Hills, the gang had managed to stop Nogitsune Stiles, but in the course of the battle, both Aiden and Allison were killed. Meanwhile, Derek was was being questioned by some hunters looking for “La loba” when he was suddenly shot in the chest. And then, out from the smoke, stepped Kate Argent, with a blue face, black lips, green eyes, and fangs!
How is Kate Argent back, and what exactly is she now? And what is she going to do with Derek? Is she going to be the big bad for this upcoming season? How will Stiles take the news of what he did as the Nogitsune? How will Ethan deal with the loss of his brother? And how will the gang deal with the loss of Allison? So many questions… I’m looking forward to another action-packed season!
On tonight’s episode, “The Dark Moon,” Scott searches for a missing friend in Mexico.
To see who Scott is searching for, tune in to MTV at 10/9c. (Also, don’t forget to tune in to the season premiere of Wolf Watch at 11/10c.)
I’ll also be watching/recording Under the Dome: Inside Chester’s Mill, MasterChef, 24: Live Another Day, Switched at Birth, Major Crimes, and Murder in the First.
