We’ve been skipping a lot of Fridays this summer, but there have been a few big premieres. Tonight is one of those, so I definitely wanted to recommend it.
That premiere is Syfy’s Z Nation. The show starts three years after a zombie virus devastated the country. One lone man was bitten but survived—the only survivor of the plague. A group of everyday heroes must get him from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood, hoping to use his antibodies to produce a cure. But he has a secret that threatens them all. What that secret is, I have no idea. The show stars Harold Perrineau (Oz, Lost), Tom Everett Scott (Southland, Beauty and the Beast), DJ Qualls (Supernatural, Memphis Beat), Michael Welch (Twilight Saga, Joan of Arcadia), Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show), Anastasia Baranova (The Darkness II), Russell Hodgkinson (Big Fish), and Keith Allan (Rise of the Zombies).
I’m not a fan of The Walking Dead, although I do admit that I stopped watching after just a couple of episodes because of the “best friend moving in on the wife” story line. Just going off the description, any romantic relationships don’t seem to be a priority. So hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy the action without getting caught up in any relationship drama.
On tonight’s episode, “Puppies And Kittens,” after a zombie virus irradiates millions, a group of heroes journey across a post-apocalyptic land to get the only known survivor of the virus to the last functioning viral laboratory so that a cure can be made. However, they must face a zombie baby.
To see the zombie baby and how the group handles it, tune in to Syfy at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Love It or List It Too, Girl Meets World, & Diners, Drive-ins & Dives.
