Tonight, after all the trick or treating with my kids, I am looking forward to curling up with some leftover candy and watching TV. What about you? I will never be too old for mini chocolate bars or bags of cheesies… Nope, never. While I get my munch on, let’s see what we’re recommending tonight to watch. (Happy Halloween, everyone! 🙂 )
Holy smokes! Blue Bloods was drama to the 100th degree last week, wasn’t it? We had Jamie being stalked by an angry, violent ex-boyfriend of a girl he stopped to help. Then we had Henry spouting off and getting secretly videotaped, which led to people questioning the police on their practices. Finally, we had Nicky learning that social media can affect everything and you should be more careful about what you type. In the end, we had a really sweet moment between Jamie and Eddie when he rescued her after she was kidnapped by the angry ex-boyfriend, who was trying to hurt Jamie by hurting her. I cannot wait to see more relationship-building stuff between these two and all the drama that will come with it. There’s no real doubt that this season has been amazing, and it’s just getting better, so stay tuned.
On tonight’s episode, “Most Wanted,” Frank and Danny are determined to put away an international felon who repeatedly manages to walk away from murder charges, but they struggle to come up with necessary evidence to earn a conviction. Meanwhile, Erin debates going into private practice when she looks into college costs for Nicky, and Danny butts heads with his new boss. Rebecca Mader guest stars.
To see how the Reagans deal with the drama this week, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Grimm, Constantine, Hawaii Five-0, The Amazing Race, and Z Nation.

I loved last week’s Hawaii Five-0. It was the anniversary of McGarrett’s father’s death, and when he was visiting his father’s grave, he saw a mystery woman placing flowers on the headstone. He confronted her and found out that his father had tried to solve her father’s murder when she was a teenager and had been unable to. Steve promised to look into it, and he did, eventually solving the murder. He and the woman had a very strong chemistry, and while I miss Catherine and loved her and Steve together, she’s gone. He really shouldn’t be alone…so when Ellie (the woman from the grave) comes back, I won’t be unhappy! (That’s tonight, btw, as she’s listed as a recurring cast member now, yay!)
On tonight’s episode, “Ho’oma’ike,” it’s Halloween, and Five-0 must track down a serial killer who is copying murders depicted in a cult slasher film. Meanwhile, McGarrett must help Jerry after he is kidnapped by the counterfeiters he has been tracking.
See how Steve rescues Jerry tonight on CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, The Amazing Race, On the Menu, Blue Bloods, Cristela, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, & Z Nation.
While Z Nation started off quite campy, it has gotten seriously good over the past 2 episodes. First the stakes were raised when another leader of the group was killed off, eliminating yet another one of the more recognizable actors on the show. We also started to see some really interesting things happening with Murphy, particularly his ability to walk among the zombies without them attacking him. Last week, this got even more interesting, as Murphy bit a man during a fight, lodging his tooth in the guy’s shoulder. And later on, when the man was bitten by a real zombie, he didn’t turn—so it seems like Murphy has the ability to pass on his zommunity!
Last week, Mack and Addy split off from the rest of the group to look for a new vehicle. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang made their way to a small makeshift town and saloon, where they participated in a sharpshooter contest in order to win a “BFG” (to hopefully trade for a new truck). As 10K showed off his skills in the contest (and found himself smitten with one of his competitors), Warren got drunk in the saloon trying to drown her sorrows over the loss of Garnett. However, things came to an abrupt halt as a huge hoard of zombies started to overrun the town—and they were just a small part of an even larger and fast-approaching Zunami.
I’m really enjoying this show and can’t wait to see what happens next. Can they outrun the Zunami? Will Mack and Addy find and rejoin the group? Will Warren take over as leader (and thus likely be the next to go)? And what’s going on with Murphy?!
On tonight’s episode, “Zunami,” a literal zombie tsunami engulfs the survivors, who are forced to take drastic action to survive as they travel across Nebraska; at the same time, Citizen Z gets a visitor.
Find out who Citizen Z’s visitor is tonight on Syfy at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, Cristela, Grimm, Constantine, Utopia, and Haven.
