I’m really enjoying this second half of season 5 of Rizzoli & Isles. Last week, on the personal side of things, Jane was worried about her mom’s spending habits being out of control now that she had a new job. And with Angela getting three new credit cards and spending quite a bit like she was, I could see why Jane was worried. After Maura (at Jane’s behest) stepped in and tried to talk to Angela about it, Angela busted Maura on her own binge spending. The difference, to me, is that Maura can clearly afford it. She isn’t living beyond her means, even if she does spend way too much shopping for things that do nothing but sit in a closet. Still, in the end, Angela cut up two of the cards, promised that she would be responsible while still splurging every so often, and helped Maura pare down her closeted things. On the case side, Jane and Korsak investigated when a “green” clothing designer was killed. During their investigation, they thought at first that the victim was into something shady, then thought his wife was, but in the end, both of them were innocent. Then they thought they’d found the murderer when they came across the van that had been seen speeding away from the crime scene and a smell was coming from it, but it turned out to be filled with trash a PI had gathered as part of his cases. And that PI turned out to be innocent and actually a big help with not only finding the victim’s killer but getting him to confess. (And of course it turned out to be all about drugs…) I adored the PI because the chemistry between him & Jane was phenomenal. I do hope he comes back!
Next week is the 2-hour season finale, which makes me very sad. 🙁 But it’s already been renewed for season 6, so I’m happy about that! I just wish we didn’t have to wait several months at least for it to come back!
On tonight’s episode, “In Plain View,” after a man is found bludgeoned to death on the side of the road, Jane and the squad team up with another detective who believes he is hunting the same roadside killer. Meanwhile, Maura discovers she has had her identity stolen and recruits Angela to help track down the culprit.
See if Angela can find the identity thief and if the squad can catch the killer tonight on TNT at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, NCIS, Repeat After Me, 19 Kids & Counting, Married at First Sight: the First Year, NCIS: NOLA, Chicago Fire, Chopped, Restaurant Startup, & Cougar Town.

Tonight, ABC Family’s Switched at Birth airs its fourth season spring finale. Last week, Daphne and her roommate decided to rush sororities, with both girls opting to go with the suicide pledge approach. While Ivy received a bid from her sorority, Daphne did not, due to a horrible interview. Meanwhile, Mary Beth felt like she was taking second place to Travis’s jock popularity and decided to break up with him; Toby was about to ask Lily to move in with him when she admitted to having feelings for someone else; and Emmett’s pitch to his professor was successful and he was chosen to direct a short film—something freshmen never get to do—and asked Skye to be his DP.
Just as it is looking like something could happen between Emmett and Skye, Bay seems to be on her way to California to try to fix things between her and Emmett. Is it too late for them? IMO, yes, let him move on to Skye—they seem like a much better couple! Plus, Bay being there is just going to distract him from working on his directorial project. And back home, Daphne seems to be heading toward yet another disaster, spending more time trying to live the college life to the fullest instead of getting her work done!
According to the ads for tonight’s episode, it’s going to be one that everyone will be talking about tomorrow. So I’m looking forward to seeing whatever major developments happen tonight and what kind of cliffhanger we will be left with as the series goes on hiatus for a while!
On tonight’s episode, “There Is My Heart,” Bay heads to Los Angeles to surprise Emmett, who’s working on a huge class project. Elsewhere, Daphne’s distressed about her poor scholastic performance and fears she’s disappointing her family; and Kathryn and Toby receive good news about their musical.
Find out what cliffhangers we’re left with on tonight’s spring finale on ABC Family at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Fresh Off the Boat, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Mindy Project, Justified, Cougar Town, and Face Off.
Last week, Hell’s Kitchen had its season premiere, and it was full of crazy as usual. There were a lot of interesting characters this season and a few that made me scratch my head and go “Why are they there?” Monique admitted in the signature dish competition that she used sauce out of a jar—OUT OF A JAR to Gordon Ramsay. She really is insane! Chrissa is another one who seemed completely lost in the kitchen, and thankfully she got eliminated, because she was a disaster. So far, the women are the team that needs the most improvement, because they didn’t even finish the service.
On tonight’s episode, “17 Chefs Compete,” the teams must retrieve crabs from the ocean and create crab cake dishes.
To see how the teams do this service, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching NCIS, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fresh Off the Boat, NCIS: NOLA, The Mindy Project, Chicago Fire, and Chopped.
