If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/11/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

ncisla511smallOn the last new NCIS: LA, a former Marine and expert sniper…escaped from the VA hospital, where he was being treated for severe PTSD, after beating up his nurse and an orderly. Both men ended up being okay, but when Kensi & Deeks went in undercover at the hospital, they learned that the guy was taking unauthorized, illegal drugs…basically so he would be compliant to the people who’d given him the drug. They raced to find him, and Kensi was able to shoot at him and hit him just right so he couldn’t do the assassination the bad guys had set him up to do. In the end, they got him back to the hospital and he was off the drug and reunited with his wife and daughter, back on track to healing and finding peace. It was a great episode for Kensi, given her sniper background and Afghanistan. Hetty had some confidence that she’d be okay, but Granger wasn’t as sure of her. Thankfully, Hetty was right.

Tonight we revisit Arkady and the ship from a couple of episodes ago. That should be fun. And with only one episode left after tonight’s, I’m hoping we see movement on the Deeks/LAPD IA story line!

On tonight’s episode, “Kolcheck A.,” Callen and Sam search for answers when they find dead crew members from the missing oil tanker used in Arkady’s deal with Russia, and also discover Arkady’s personal connection to the ship.

Learn about Arkady’s connection to the ship tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, & Castle.

Kyle’s Choice

janethevirgin511smallTonight, the first season of Jane the Virgin comes to a close. Last week, Jane was anxious about attending her high school reunion — her situation is certainly an odd one, plus she hadn’t really achieved the writing goals she had hoped to by now. Meanwhile, Rafael told Petra about Jane’s request for sole custody, which she was happy about, as it meant a bigger divide between the former couple and a chance for her to win Raphael back. Meanwhile, Xo helped Rogelio cover up his fear of heights, and things between Michael and Jane seemed to be warming up once again.

I was so happy to see Jane’s heart (literally) glowing once again for Michael — I’ve been on Team Michael since the start of the series. Will these two finally get back together? Tonight Jane goes into labor, but the promos promise a shocking twist. What could it be?! Maybe the baby is not Raphael’s after all? Or maybe Jane will have twins? This is such a soapy show, pretty much ANYTHING is possible, and I can’t wait to find out how they leave us hanging for the fall.

On tonight’s episode, “Chapter Twenty-Two,” Jane goes into labor, and Xo rushes to get home to her, making Rogelio feel disconnected from the family. Meanwhile, Michael and Rafael temporarily put aside their differences; and Petra uncovers crucial info concerning Rafael.

Find out what shocking twist the show has in store tonight on The CW at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Castle, The Following, Bates Motel, and The Returned.

Megan’s Choice

thevoice2015smallWe are down to the final five on The Voice, and it’s going to be a tight race to the finish. Last week, we said goodbye to Kimberly Nichole and Twitter instant-saved India Carney. I was actually really upset about these results. India can sing — there’s no doubt about that — but Kimberly has something different to give. She’s just special. Now, going into the top five, we have Sawyer, Meghan, Koryn, Joshua, and India. I’m really hoping that either Koryn, Joshua, or Sawyer wins, because they are all very talented and moved people with their music. As for Meghan and India, they are talented, but they just aren’t as able to portray pure emotion on the stage. I want to feel something when someone performs, not just clap and say “good job.”

On tonight’s episode, “Semi-Final Performances,” the top five artists perform live in front of the coaches and America to win the votes to continue on in the competition.

To see if your favorite gives their all tonight, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Bates Motel, Castle, Jane the Virgin, 2 Broke Girls, NCIS: LA, Mike & Molly, and The Night Shift.
