Tonight is the series premiere of Humans on AMC at 9/8c. Set in suburban London, the show takes place in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth — a highly developed, artificially intelligent servant eerily similar to its living counterpart. Penned by British writing partners Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks) and based on the award-winning Swedish sci-fi drama Real Humans, the series explores the emotional impact that comes as the lines between humans and machines become increasingly blurred. It stars Colin Morgan, Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, Neil Maskell, Rebecca Front, Tom Goodman-Hill, & William Hurt.

Tonight is the series premiere of An Idiot Abroad on Travel Channel at 9/8c. Karl Pilkington has led a sheltered life. Not having done any traveling, he enjoys living within the comforts of what he knows. But now, he is on an adventure to experience unfamiliar cultures. How will this simple bloke fare in the unfamiliar world around him?

Tonight is also the series premiere of Zoo on CBS at 9/8c. Based on the #1 bestselling novel by James Patterson, this new drama is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. Jackson Oz (James Wolk, Mad Men, The Crazy Ones, Lone Star) is a young renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa with his best friend Abraham (Nonzo Anozie, Dracula, Game of Thrones), who has a deep understanding of wildlife. Shortly after the attacks begin, Oz begins to see a link between the strange animal attacks and his late father’s controversial theories about impending threats to the human race. In Los Angeles, news reporter Jamie Campbell (Kristen Connolly, The Whispers, House of Cards) is intent on being the first to break the story behind the mysterious animal behavior, and seeks the expertise of Mitch Morgan (Billy Burke, Revolution, Rizzoli & Isles, The Twilight Saga), an off-kilter veterinarian, who prefers the company of animals over people. Nora Arnezeder stars as Chloe Tousignant, a French investigator Oz meets in Africa. As the assaults occurring worldwide become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, Oz and the others are thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide.

Tonight is also the series premiere of DeSean Jackson: Home Team on BET at 10/9c. Washington Redskins’ wide receiver DeSean Jackson is literally at the top of his game as one of the most talked about and watched players in the NFL today. Even though he has the money and the fame, DeSean’s life is actually run by a core group of women including his “momager” Gayle, his sister and assistant A’Dreea, his publicist Denise and his new girlfriend, Kayla.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Scream on MTV at 10/9c. What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town’s troubled past. Everyone has secrets. Everyone tells lies. Everyone is fair game. Ths show stars Amadeus Serafini, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, John Karna, & Willa Fitzgerald.
