Tonight is the series premiere of Grandfathered on FOX at 8/7c. What’s the fastest way to put the brakes on a cruise-controlled bachelor lifestyle? Fatherhood? Guess again. Television icon John Stamos (Full House) stars in a new comedy about the ultimate bachelor who discovers he’s not only a father, but a grandfather. Successful restaurateur and man-about-town Jimmy Martino (Stamos) is used to being the most suave, most handsome and most single person in the room. All that changes with the surprise appearance of Jimmy’s adult son, Gerald (Josh Peck, The Mindy Project), and his baby daughter, Edie. Now Jimmy has to unlearn a lifetime of blissful selfishness and grapple with the fact that he went straight from single to grandfather in six seconds flat. Keeping tabs on Jimmy is Gerald’s mother and Jimmy’s former girlfriend, rocker chick-turned-mother Sara (Paget Brewster, Criminal Minds). Equally concerned about how Jimmy will manage these new developments is Jimmy’s restaurant family, especially assistant manager Annelise (Kelly Jenrette, Audrey) and chef Ken (Ravi Patel, Super Fun Night). Can Jimmy teach Gerald to be a little more like him in order to win the affection of Edie’s hot mess of a mom, Vanessa (Christina Milian, Family Guy)? Will Jimmy and Sara fall for each other all over again, even though she’s the one thing he never dates…a woman his own age? And who’s higher maintenance, Jimmy or the baby? Grandfathered is an unconventional, sophisticated comedy about coming of age…at any age.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Grinder on FOX at 8:30/7:30c. How many TV lawyers does it take to try a real-life case in a real-life courtroom? One, and his name is The Grinder. Starring Emmy Award nominee Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation, The West Wing), this is a new comedy about a famous TV lawyer at a crossroads. When his legal series ends, he decides to move back home and join his family’s real law firm…despite having no formal education, no bar certification, no license to practice and no experience in an actual courtroom. Dean Sanderson (Lowe) spent eight seasons playing the title role on the hit legal drama The Grinder. Now he’s moving back to his hometown of Boise, Idaho, where his brother, Stewart (Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Fred Savage, The Wonder Years), is a real-life attorney who is poised to take over the family law firm. It doesn’t take long for Dean to start injecting his TV drama into every aspect of Stewart’s life, both in the courtroom and at home, impacting Stewart’s wife — and Dean’s high school sweetheart — Debbie (Mary Elizabeth Ellis, New Girl, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia); their two kids, 15-year-old Lizzie (Hana Hayes, Bucket and Skinner’s Epic Adventures) and 13-year-old Ethan (Connor Kalopsis, Days Of Our Lives); and Dean and Stewart’s father, the law firm’s head, Dean Sr. (William Devane, 24: Live Another Day). Dean and Stewart don’t see to eye to eye, but when they stop arguing with each other and start arguing together in court…they make a formidable team. The Grinder is the story of two brothers, who took different paths, but meet again in the middle — for justice…sort of.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Adam Ruins Everything on TruTV at 10/9c. Host Adam Conover employs a combination of comedy, history, and science to dispel widespread misconceptions about everything we take for granted. A perfect blend of entertainment and enlightenment, Adam Ruins Everything is inviting, fast-paced and, above all, smart. Adam is like that friend who knows a little bit too much about everything and is going to tell you about it…whether you like it or not. Adam Ruins Everything isn’t just fun to watch, but addictively informative. It’s everything you didn’t want to need to know. The show was born out of a popular CollegeHumor original series that has generated more than 30 million views since premiering online with the video “Why Engagement Rings Are a Scam” in early 2014.

Tonight is the series premiere of Code Black on CBS at 10/9c. Bbased on the award-winning documentary by Ryan McGarry, Code Black is a heart-pounding medical drama that takes place in the busiest, most notorious ER in the nation, where the staggering influx of patients can outweigh the limited resources available to the extraordinary doctors and nurses whose job is to treat them all — creating a condition known as Code Black. At the heart of the ER’s controlled chaos is Residency Director Dr. Leanne Rorish (Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden), renowned for successfully performing high-risk procedures in Center Stage, the trauma area reserved for the most critical cases. Her four new first-year residents are Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Malaya Pineda (Melanie Kannokada), Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), and Angus Leighton (Harry M. Ford). Leanne’s confidante, Jesse Sallander (Luis Guzman), is an amiable seen-it-all senior nurse who manages the residents. Also working in the ER is Dr. Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey), an excellent physician who sometimes disagrees with Leanne’s “cowboy” approach, and Dr. Rollie Guthrie (William Allen Young), the energetic, longest-serving attending. In Center Stage, life is measured in seconds, and these heroic doctors and nurses operate with speed and skill within an overwhelmed system to treat the crowds of people who are often there for one of two reasons: to die or to receive a life-saving miracle.

Along for the ride are Paul’s best friends Anthony (Distefano), the charmer who schemes his way through life; Dicky (Gessner), the wealthy hedge fund manager whose answer to everything is in his wallet; and Sebalos (Iskandar) the slacker on a misguided search for his purpose in life. He is always trying to be a good doctor as well as a good husband and dad to his two kids. However, these good intentions have a way of driving everyone crazy at work and at home. Luckily, his therapist wife, Allison, is just the right partner to keep things sane. Dr. Ken stars Ken Jeong as Dr. Ken, Suzy Nakamura as Allison, Tisha Campbell-Martin as Damona, Dave Foley as Pat, Jonathan Slavin as Clark, Albert Tsai as Dave, and Krista Marie Yu as Molly.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Love at First Swipe on TLC at 9/8c. For the modern dater, online profiles have become just as important as what you see in person. While swiping through hundreds of pages to find the perfect match, some have mastered the art of the selfie and the perfectly-written caption, but others are making bad choices that hurt their chances at finding love. Enter former What Not to Wear host and style expert, Clinton Kelly, and online dating guru Devyn Simone who help these women become their best self, inside and out and online. The series, launching on October 2nd at 9/8c, is about identifying the mistakes people make online and then transforming their style and profiles. From oversexed photos to depressing status updates, these online dating profile disasters just aren’t clicking. In each episode, Clinton, current co-host of The Chew, and Devyn, former cast member on Real World, unearth the rationale behind the photo and status update choices for each unlucky, online dater and then help them transform their look and online presence. Clinton takes each woman for a style makeover that better represents her whole personality – whether it is a mom looking to dress more conservatively or an introvert looking to express herself better through a new wardrobe. After these physical transformations, Devyn gives the women an online dating tutorial complete with new photos and an updated profile. The women put their new look to the test when Clinton and Devyn share the new and improved profile with 100 potential mates, and then the women choose a date from one of the men that liked her profile. From online disaster to dating in style, these women leave with new-found confidence to conquer the online dating world.

The show focuses on the third generation of the famed Jackson family — Taj, Taryll and TJ — Tito Jackson’s sons and nephews of the famed Jackson 5. The series features the brothers as they work to balance a career and their lives as traditional family men while living up to the pressures and demands that comes with their last name. The siblings, known as the music group 3T, have toured and sold more than three million records worldwide just off their debut album. Still impacted by the loss of their mother, Dee Dee, the brothers are raising their children and managing the day-to-day tasks within their families, just like everyone else. Their quest for normalcy, however, often collides head-on with the good and bad of living with one of history’s most renowned last names. The series reveals what it’s like for them living with the last name Jackson including how they deal with constant rumors, stalkers, and frauds who all want a piece of anything and anyone related to the family’s legacy.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Sex in Public on TLC at 10/9c. Therapist Jill Dictrow goes undercover in the most unsuspecting of places in an attempt to get real people to open up about the good, the bad, and the un-sexy when it comes to their personal lives. It’s more than just talking about sex — it’s about helping people who are too shy, too nervous, or too embarrassed to go to a friend, relative, or even a therapist to seek help on their relationships. Sometimes, it’s easier for people to speak with complete strangers, and you won’t believe what Jill finds out when she starts talking about “sex in public.” Jill is going undercover and setting up hidden cameras, offering free advice to people in some of the least private locations – the mall, a bridal shop, a park, and more. This is an unprecedented way for couples, friends and individuals to work on their sexual, dating, and emotional issues. Each week, Jill puts herself in seemingly awkward situations, with the goal of helping complete strangers resolve the topics they’re most eager to talk about, but most hesitant.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of #WhatSheSaid on TLC at 10:30/9:30c. What do you do when your husband snores? What is it like to have friends and family touch your belly when you’re expecting? What is your most mortifying moment? These are just some of the questions to be debated on TLC’s commentary series #WhatSheSaid. The show features some of the country’s funniest women venting and speaking the truth about being a woman in today’s society. Social media, timesaving tips, and no-nonsense attitudes come together for a real conversation — with lots of laughter — about the chaos of womanhood. In every half-hour episode, these women tackle viewer questions solicited via social media to provide their own additional commentary. Some of the topics discussed include aging, body image, marriage, motherhood, pregnancy, sex, travel and more.
