Tonight is the series premiere of Sweat Inc on Spike TV at 10/9c. Over the last decade, a rising health consciousness has led 30,000 fitness clubs to open across the country, serving more than 58 million members annually. Valued at well over 20 billion dollars, the exercise industry is always on the lookout for the next big idea to continue its rapid growth. With that in mind, this is an unscripted competition series hosted and judged by acclaimed health and wellness expert, Jillian Michaels. The show sets out to find America’s next big fitness phenomenon and help turn it into an exercise craze. The winner of the competition will receive $100,000, the opportunity to develop their brand and launch their program at multiple Retro Fitness locations across the country, as well as a feature in Women’s Health Magazine.

Tonight is the series premiere of Hellevator on GSN at 8/7c. This terrifying eight episode genre-bending series from Blumhouse, the team that brought the world the Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Ouija, and The Purge franchises, dares contestants to survive a series of challenges from the depths of an abandoned slaughterhouse. A team of three friends rides a haunted elevator into various levels of the abandoned slaughterhouse. One player must get out on each floor and conquer a frightening challenge in order to earn money for the team. If they don’t make it back in time, the elevator moves on without them. Participants can earn up to $50,000 by properly completing their challenges, including the final challenge — The Labyrinth — where the surviving contestants work together to face their most difficult and terrifying challenge in a mad-dash race to accumulate more money. Horror film icons Jen and Sylvia Soska, aka the “Twisted Twins,” serve as masterminds behind the scenes, pulling the strings throughout the game, taking delight in the horror and leaving contestants struggling to remember “it’s just a game.”

Tonight is the series premiere of Great White North on History Channel at 10/9c. In the frozen wilderness that borders Alaska and the Yukon, a group of brave souls pursue an ancient and dangerous way of life. For these men, women and their families, winter trapping is not only a deep passion–it’s their job. And they risk their lives to do it. In temperatures that reach 40 below—where skin freezes, snowmobiles break down, daylight fades fast, thin ice looms and predators are a constant threat—one wrong move can cost you everything. Centuries ago, trapping and fur trading played a vital role in the expansion of North America’s western frontier. Today, these fearless men and women are trying to uphold that legacy, living on the land and off the grid. At peace in the great outdoors, they trap during the legally sanctioned season which, in Alaska and the Yukon, runs just four months in the dead of winter. Deep in the bush, the pressure is on to get iron in the ground and catch fur. They must also navigate the inhospitable terrain on the trap line, which features deadly half-frozen rivers, brutal wind storms, and wolf packs. Miles from the nearest town, help is never close by. But these diehards are undeterred. They’ve spent their life mastering the skills needed to survive and carve out a living in one of the most hostile places on earth. Tonight is the series premiere of Pacific Warriors on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Beneath the pristine waters of Hawaii, ancient volcanoes have forged steep underwater cliffs, resulting in the best deep-sea fishing in the world. For centuries, generations of Hawaiians have caught these monster fish from small, hand-made canoes, using nothing more than a fishing pole and their bare hands. Now, a rare breed of men and women — armed with just a sea kayak — are re-inventing this ancient art and risking their lives to catch 100-plus pound fish. One fresh catch can reel in $1,500 dollars or more; but big rewards bring stiff competition. This show follows these brave adventurers who will stop at nothing to bring in their prize. Though these men and women survive and thrive by living off the ocean, kayak fishing is not for the faint of heart; even the slightest mistake can invite deadly consequences. The series follows seven teams as they train and battle it out on the rough waters. Using primitive means, the fearless fishermen and women are regularly taken on what they call “Hawaiian Sleigh Rides,” which occur when they hook monster fish that drag them out to sea — sometimes as much as 10 miles or more. They also fend off sharks regularly, deeming them “tax men,” which are looking for an easy meal.
