Tonight is the series premiere of Still the King on CMT at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. The show features Billy Ray Cyrus as Vernon Brownmule, aka “Burnin’ Vernon,” a scandal-ridden, washed-up, one-hit-wonder who was kicked out of country music, only to emerge 20 years later as the second best Elvis impersonator around. After crashing into an old country church sign during a drunken bender, he is arrested and sentenced to return and serve as the church’s handyman as part of his parole. Along the way, he pretends to be the congregation’s new minister and reconnects with a former one-night-stand (Joey Lauren Adams), when he learns he has a 15-year-old daughter (Madison Iseman) he’s never met.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Ride with Norman Reedus on AMC at 10/9c. The show follows The Walking Dead fan-favorite star and motorcycle enthusiast as he hits the open road to explore local biker culture and celebrate the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and craftsmen around the country. Each one-hour installment will feature Reedus with a riding companion — notable guests include Peter Fonda, Robert Rodriguez, and Balthazar Getty — as they journey to new destinations throughout the United States, including North Carolina, Florida, California, Nevada, Texas, and Louisiana. Reedus and friends stop by various locales such as custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, collector’s warehouses, or a roadside smokehouse. [Note from Jenny: One of my best friends lives in North Carolina and got to meet Reedus when he was there filming. Awesome!]

Tonight is the series premiere of Guilt on Freeform at 9/8c. The definition of guilt is being responsible for wrongdoing or a crime. In the murder of Molly Ryan, many are guilty in different ways, but only one is truly guilty of her murder. When Natalie’s sister Grace (Daisy Head) becomes the prime suspect in her roommate Molly’s murder and popular target for the press and in social media, Natalie (Emily Tremaine) leaves her life in Boston and heads to London to defend her. With the help of an ethically questionable ex-pat lawyer Stan Gutterie (Billy Zane), Natalie starts to question how innocent her sister may really be as more ugly truths start to come out. In this one-hour soapy drama, the mystery will twist through all layers of London society – from a posh but depraved sex club and all the way up to the Royal Family itself.

Tonight is also the series premiere of BrainDead on CBS at 10/9c. CBS’s new comic-thriller is set in the world of Washington, D.C. politics. The series, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit, Tony Shalhoub, Nikki M. James and Johnny Ray Gill comes from Robert and Michelle King, creators and executive producers of The Good Wife. It follows a young, fresh-faced Hill staffer (Winstead) getting her first job in Washington, D.C. and discovering two things: The government has stopped working, and something mysterious is happening to a growing number of Congressmen and Hill staffers.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge on NBC at 10/9c. Inspired by Spartan Race — the creators of the world’s most demanding obstacle course races — this show raises the bar on team competitions. Groups of friends, families, co-workers and more must work together as they race across specially designed Spartan courses engineered to test their determination, endurance and will. Teams of five will compete on one the most demanding courses ever devised and will have to push through the pain to win $250,000.

Tonight is the series premiere of To Tell the Truth on ABC at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. Hosted by Anthony Anderson, this is is an anarchic and funny re-imagination of the beloved game show of the same name. The all-new version will take the excitement to another level featuring fun characters from pop culture over the six-episode series. Anderson will preside over four famous faces, including legend Betty White (who has appeared on previous versions of the show) and actress NeNe Leakes. In each round, they will be presented with three people who all claim to be the same person with the same incredible talent, job, or achievement. One is sworn to tell the truth while the others are not. The panel of celebrities will have a chance to grill each participant before taking turns deciding who they think is telling the truth. Anderson’s brassy mother, Doris, will be the official scorekeeper and asking questions of her own, not to mention embarrassing her son every chance she gets. The celebrity panelist who performs the worst will have to tweet a lie about themselves to the world. Cheche and his Band of Liars will be the house band. Every episode will end with a show stopping stunt/performance. The celebrity panelists set to appear in each episode include: Betty White, NeNe Leakes, & Jalen Rose (former pro-basketball player).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Animal Kingdom on TNT at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. After his mother dies of a heroin overdose, Joshua ‘J’ Cody moves in with his estranged grandmother, Janine “Smurf” Cody in Southern California. He soon finds himself drawn into a dark world funded by criminal activities that he’s been shielded from for years, as she and his uncles plan their upcoming heist. J must prove his loyalty to stay alive, all the while learning that Smurf is the intense, beguiling and complicated matriarch who rules over “her boys” with a borderline incestuous love. The show stars Shawn Hatosy, Scott Speedman, Ellen Barkin, Ben Robson, Daniella Alonso, Finn Cole, Jake Weary, & Molly Gordon.

Tonight is also the 1-hour series premiere of Uncle Buck on ABC at 9/8c. This new comedy is based on the hit movie of the same name. Mike Epps is Buck, a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his nieces and nephew’s nanny has just quit and his brother and sister-in-law need his help. His unconventional personality just may make him the right fit for the family and they may be the answer to his problems, too. The show also stars Nia Long as Alexis, James Lesure as Will, Iman Benson as Tia, Sayeed Shahidi as Miles, and Aalyrah Caldwell as Maizy.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Famously Single on E! at 10/9c. This new one-hour, eight episode series moves the eight love-challenged celebrities (Pauly D, Brandi Glanville, Willis McGahee, Aubrey O’Day, Josh Murray, Jessica White, Calum Best, and Somaya Reece) into a loft based in downtown Los Angeles together, where relationship expert Dr. Darcy Sterling will help these stars come to terms with the cold hard truths behind their questionable romantic history. Through a series of exercises, one-on-one sessions and real dates, viewers will get a voyeuristic bird’s eye view of the stars’ emotional journeys as they learn how to find love. The celebs will be paired up for most exercises resulting in the perfect balance of conflict and chemistry as they challenge each other through their relationship-rehab.

Finally, tonight is the 1-hour series premiere of Wrecked on TBS at 10/9c. This is a single-camera comedy that centers on a diverse group of survivors adjusting to being stranded on an uninhabited island, a dangerous new world where they must face many threats — mostly brought on by themselves. No longer plugged into the rest of the world, the group struggles to navigate their makeshift society while also learning to live without such modern comforts as indoor plumbing, Wi-Fi, social media and Chipotle. The show stars Ally Maki, Asif Ali, Brian Sacca, Brooke Dillman, George Basil, Ginger Gonzaga, James Scott, Jessica Lowe, Rhys Darby, Will Greenberg, & Zach Cregger.

Tonight is the series premiere of Skin Wars: Fresh Paint on GSN at 10/9c. Hosted by RuPaul, the new series features three of Skin Wars top former contestants who mentor six new, highly accomplished artists each week. These artists are at the top of their game in their own disciplines but will leave their creative comfort zones to compete in body painting for the first time, attempting to win the $10,000 prize at the end of each show and become a Skin Wars: Fresh Paint Champion. In each self-contained episode, the three Skin Wars All-Stars will work with artists from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets and give them a crash course in body painting. They’ll help their mentees navigate through several rounds of intense competition, pushing them to apply their talents to the human canvas in innovative ways. It all culminates in a final challenge where the remaining two artists must put all they’ve learned to the test, completing a full body masterpiece on their own. In the end they’ll be judged by international master body painter Emma Cammack and art critic Mat Gleason, founder of the renowned Coagula Art Journal and contributor to The Huffington Post.
