Tonight is the series premiere of Divorce on HBO at 10/9c. After more than a decade of marriage and two children, Frances has suddenly begun to reassess her life and her strained relationship with her husband. But she soon discovers that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought. Serving as an executive producer, Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City) stars as Frances. Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) stars as Robert, Frances’ husband, who is struggling to cope with their marriage falling apart. The show also stars Molly Shannon (Enlightened, Saturday Night Live) as Diane, Frances’ high-strung friend, who has a successful husband, a beautiful house and no children; Talia Balsam (Mad Men) as Dallas, Frances’ close friend, who has been both widowed and divorced; Tracy Letts (Homeland) as Nick, Diane’s husband; Sterling Jerins (World War Z) as Lila, Frances’ and Robert’s daughter; and Charlie Kilgore (Moonrise Kingdom) as Tom, their son. The story of a very, very long divorce, the show follows Frances and Robert as they grapple with the fallout from their failing marriage, not just for themselves, but also for their children and friends, ranging from awkward public encounters to difficult private therapy sessions.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Insecure on HBO at 10:30/9:30c. Modern-day black women are usually portrayed as strong, confident and “flawless.” But Issa and Molly are definitely not “killing it.” These best friends must deal with their own real-life flaws as they attempt to navigate different worlds and cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences. Issa Rae stars as Issa and Yvonne Orji stars as Molly on the show, which explores the black female experience in an unclichéd and authentic way. Over the course of the season, Issa attempts to figure out what she wants out of life and how to take control of it, while fumbling her way through this journey. Molly, a corporate attorney who appears to have everything together professionally, struggles inside as she looks for external ways to fix her life. Meanwhile, Issa’s boyfriend, Lawrence (Jay Ellis), who has fallen victim to complacency, works to get his own act together. Frieda (Lisa Joyce), Issa’s overeager white co-worker, whose enthusiasm is both annoying and endearing, is at the crux of Issa’s racial frustrations at work. Shot in and around South Los Angeles, the show incorporates the music of both indie and established artists of color, and touches on a variety of social and racial issues that relate to the contemporary black experience.

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of Freakish on hulu at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. During Saturday detention, bells ring signaling a containment drill and evacuation – not out of the ordinary for a town with a large chemical plant. The 20 students and the basketball coach retreat to the school fallout shelter for the duration of the drill. Only it’s not a drill… When the sirens stop and they return to the school lobby, they find their town has been decimated by an explosion. They see no signs of life outside their high school’s front doors. More frightening, those who were not in the bunker appear to be infected… The show stars Adam Hicks, Aislinn Paul, Chachi Gonzales, Chad L. Coleman, Hayes Grier, Leo Howard, Liza Koshy, Mary Mouser, Meghan Rienks, Melvin Gregg, & Tyler Chase.

Tonight is the series premiere of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? on Freeform at 8/7c. You all know and love Ben Higgins and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell from season 20 of The Bachelor – but what happens after the final rose is handed out and normal life ensues? This new reality series will follow the happy couple as they prepare to walk down the aisle and begin their brand-new life together while navigating the real world after the splendor of The Bachelor’s exotic dates and fantasy suites has ended. During the show some fan favorites from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will stop by to visit and share their own advice on life after the show.

Tonight is also the series premiere of American Housewife on ABC at 8:30/7:30c. Katy Mixon (Mike & Molly) stars as Katie Otto, a confident, unapologetic wife and mother of three raising her flawed family in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with “perfect” mommies and their “perfect” offspring. Diedrich Bader stars as her husband Jeff, while Meg Donnelly, Daniel DiMaggio, and Julia Butters star as their children, Taylor, Oliver, and Anna-Kat. Also starring are Ali Wong & Carly Hughes.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Channel Zero: Candle Cove on Syfy at 9/8c. The show centers on one man’s obsessive recollections of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s, and his ever-growing suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood. It stars Fiona Shaw, Luisa D’Oliveira, Natalie Brown, Paul Schneider, & Shaun Benson.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Letter on Freeform at 9/8c. This is a bold, new relationship show that asks the simple question: “If you could anonymously tell your best friend in a letter the things that he or she really needed to hear, would you do it?” In each stand-alone episode, four friends for life draw names and anonymously write to the selected person a thoughtful, yet totally honest letter outlining their opinion of what needs to be changed in order to improve and transform their friend’s life for the better. For one week, each “reader” must follow all the rules and instructions outlined in the letter — culminating in a dramatic and emotionally charged meeting where the authors of each letter reveal themselves to their best friends. The series is narrated by actress Zelda Williams (Dead of Summer).

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of The Gary Owen Show on BET at 9:30/8:30c. The show chronicles the life of America’s favorite honorary black comedian Gary Owen and his hilariously offbeat multiracial family. He broke through as the first Caucasian host of BET’s Comic View, and also had star turns in the Think Like A Man films, Ride Along, and Meet the Blacks. Now he’s bringing his own interracial and blended family to BET in a 30-minute unscripted series that is colorful, truthful and hysterical. Gary is constantly pushing the limits of what is politically correct when it comes to kids in small-town Ohio.

Each episode will feature three teams of two (comprised of one parent and one adult child per team) trying to figure out which embarrassing factoid is related to their teammate (and family member!). Tonight is the series premiere of The Almost Impossible Game Show on MTV at 10/9c. This is an absurd comedy game show that’s so hard to beat, contestants are given 40 lives…and probably still won’t win! It’s based on the popular UK series of the same name. Each episode of this outlandish new series features six neon-clad contestants taking on simple, yet hilariously difficult games. To win, these brave contestants must complete four of the six games, without running out of lives. If they fail a game, they’ve got to do it again…and again…and AGAIN. Contestants don’t compete against each other, but against the game itself. With challenges such as riding a tiny bike across a balance beam over a mud pit, putting on a pair of trousers while sprinting on a giant treadmill, and inflating a balloon to the point of popping using only the power of your buttocks, contestants will never know what’s next. Comedy duo The Rubber Bandits provide anarchic commentary and their own twisted take as the contestants try to make the almost-impossible possible!

Tonight is also the series premiere of Falling Water on USA Network at 10/9c. This is the story of three unrelated people who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. The deeper they dig, the more they come to realize that the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world. Lizzie Brocheré (American Horror Story: Asylum), David Ajala (Fast & Furious 6), and Will Yun Lee (Hawaii Five-0) star.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Acting Out on MTV at 10:30/9:30c. Hosted by comedian Lil Rel Howery, this is an outrageous comedy series in which the most irreverent, established, and up-and-coming comedians of today will perform their best stand-up routines and have it simultaneously acted out. We’ll see hilarious reenactments of the best bits, bringing new life to your favorite moments from stand up.

Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Haters Back Off on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Based on the character created by Colleen Ballinger, this show delves into the oddball family life of Miranda Sings, an incredibly confident, totally untalented star on the rise who continues to fail upward by the power of her belief that she was born famous, it’s just no one knows it yet. The series stars Colleen Ballinger as Miranda Sings, Steve Little (Eastbound & Down) as Miranda’s overly confident and utterly misguided Uncle Jim, Angela Kinsey (The Office) as Miranda’s mom, Bethany, and Erik Stocklin, Miranda’s neighbor and best friend, Patrick.

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of Goliath on Amazon at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. The show stars Billy Bob Thornton, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, and Maria Bello in the ultimate David vs. Goliath battle fought in the 21st century American legal system. The series follows a down-and-out lawyer (Thornton) as he seeks redemption. His one shot depends on getting justice in a legal system where truth has become a commodity, and the scales of justice have never been more heavily weighed toward the rich and powerful. Also starring are Jason Ritter, Clayne Crawford, Britain Dalton, Diana Hopper, Dwight Yoakam, Molly Parker, Nina Arianda, Sarah Wynter, & Tania Raymonde.
