Tonight is the series premiere of Man with a Plan on CBS at 8:30/7:30c. The show stars Golden Globe Award winner Matt LeBlanc (Friends) in a comedy about a contractor who starts spending more time with his kids when his wife goes back to work and discovers the truth every parent eventually realizes: their little angels are maniacs. Adam (LeBlanc) feels fully equipped to take on more parenting responsibilities while his self-assured wife, Andi (Liza Snyder, Yes, Dear), returns to the work force after being a stay at home mom for 13 years. However, Adam’s blindsided by how tough it is to wrangle three messy kids who can’t live without Wi-Fi. Their pre-teen daughter, Kate (Grace Kaufman), is a master manipulator and initially thrilled that “daddy fun times” is taking over, middle child Teddy (Matthew McCann) can’t seem to keep his hands out of his pants despite constant reminders, and their precious youngest, Emme (Hala Finley), is nervous about starting kindergarten. But with Andi’s encouragement and advice from a couple of equally stressed parents, Marie (Jessica Chaffin) and Lowell (Matt Cook), Adam takes charge of his brood, lays down the law and discovers he’s going to “nail” this job.

Tonight is the series premiere of Everest Air on Trvel Channel at 10/9c. Standing at a jaw-dropping 29,029 feet above sea level, Mount Everest is the climber’s trophy that many, including a high-altitude rescue team led by Jeff Evans — an Everest expert mountaineer, adventurer and medic — have dared impossible missions to conquer. Now, the real-life experiences and adventures of Evans and his skilled crew of Sherpas and helicopter pilots reveal another side of the iconic mountain. Each hour-long episode also provides a rare glimpse into the exhilarating encounters and unrivaled majesty that compel climbers to take on the world’s highest peak.

Tonight is also the sereis premiere of Jon Glaser Loves Gear on TruTV at 10/9c. In this new comedy series, actor and comedian Jon Glaser (Trainwreck, Parks and Recreation, Girls) sets out to make a docu-series about his greatest passion: gear. Ironically, it’s this very obsession that continually threatens to derail the show, sending each episode spiraling off on deeply personal tangents. You like gear? You like Jon Glaser? You’ll like the show. You don’t like gear? You don’t like Jon Glaser? Maybe you’ll still like the show. Either way, Jon Glaser will still love gear.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Great Indoors on CBS at 8:31/7:31c. Joel McHale stars in a comedy about a renowned adventure reporter for an outdoor magazine who must adapt to the times when he becomes the desk-bound boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of the publication. Jack has led a thrilling “outdoorsy” life exploring the edges of the earth while chronicling his adventures for Outdoor Limits. But his globe-trotting days end when the magazine’s charismatic founder and outdoor legend, Roland (Stephen Fry), announces the publication’s move to web-only and assigns Jack to supervise their online team of “journalists.” Jack’s eager 20-something colleagues include Clark (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), a tech nerd who knows everything about surviving on Mars and a zombie apocalypse; Emma (Christine Ko), their social media expert who views Jack as the human version of dial-up; and Mason (Shaun Brown), a hipster-lumberjack who hasn’t spent any actual time outside. Jack reports to Roland’s daughter, Brooke (Susannah Fielding), an ex-flame who caters to the sensitive staffers by giving them all trophies just for working hard. Jack’s best friend, Eddie (Chris Williams), runs the local dive bar that’s popular with the younger set and helps Jack “decode” his co-workers. Jack is baffled by the world of click-bait and listicles, but if he’s patient, he may be able to show these kids that the outside world is much more than something on a screen…if he doesn’t beat them with their selfie-sticks first.

Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of The Living and the Dead on BBC America at 9/8c. The show stars Colin Morgan (Humans, The Fall, Merlin) and Charlotte Spencer (Glue, Line of Duty) as Nathan and Charlotte Appleby, a couple hell-bent on bringing modern ideas to an ancient rural community. When Nathan, a pioneering Victorian psychologist, brings his vivacious young wife back to live on his family’s estate, he’s confronted by one disturbing case after another. Are these strange events linked merely by coincidence, or is there something more sinister — more supernatural — going on in the village? The arrival of the railways, the unrelenting pace of industrialization, and the impact of groundbreaking science and philosophy are changing the ancient ways of rural England forever. Nathan and Charlotte are part of this movement of change, but when the death of Nathan’s mother brings them back to his family’s estate, they must turn the farm’s fortunes around — or risk ruin and the devastation of the local community. Though the farm and its future demand their attention, when a vulnerable teenage girl is brought to Nathan, seemingly possessed by a terrifying spirit, he cannot leave her to suffer. A pioneering doctor, Nathan has worked at the forefront of the emerging science of psychology and is an expert in mapping the dark places of the mind. He believes there is always a rational or scientific explanation to be found for life’s mysteries; though Harriet’s case is disturbing, he must use every psychological technique he has to find a way to cure her, to free her from this terrible burden. But what if Nathan is wrong, and it isn’t an illness of the mind? Could Harriet actually be haunted?

Tonight is also the series premiere of Pure Genius on CBS at 10/9c. This is a cutting-edge medical drama about a young Silicon Valley tech titan who enlists an exceptional veteran surgeon with a controversial past to run a state-of-the-art hospital with an ultramodern approach to medicine. Billionaire genius James Bell (Augustus Prew) built Bunker Hill Hospital determined to revolutionize healthcare and treat the rarest and most challenging medical mysteries, at no charge. Bell persuades maverick surgeon Dr. Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney) to be his Chief of Staff, who believed medicine is a human endeavor, not technological, until a “eureka” moment at the hospital convinced him otherwise. Bell’s team of trailblazers includes Dr. Zoe Brockett (Odette Annable), an exceptional, fearlessly frank physician; Dr. Talaikha Channarayapatra (Reshma Shetty), an idealistic, maddeningly literal neurosurgeon who believes the hospital is a beacon for change; Dr. Malik Verlaine (Aaron Jennings), a former gangbanger now spearheading efforts to provide 24/7 health monitoring in poor neighborhoods via computer; Dr. Scott Strauss (Ward Horton), an intense neurologist with an Ivy league pedigree; and Angie Cheng (Brenda Song), an enthusiastic 3-D printer programming whiz. At Bunker Hill, Bell pairs the most brilliant minds in medicine with the most forward thinkers in technology, and cuts bureaucracy out of the equation, all in the interest of saving lives, including his own.

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of Good Girls Revolt on Amazon at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. The pilot for this was released in Nov 2015, but now the rest of the first season is premiering. In 1969, while a cultural revolution with a soundtrack to match swept through the free world, there was still one place that refused to change with the times: newsrooms. The show follows a group of young female researchers, Jane Hollander (Anna Camp), Patti Robinson (Genevieve Angelson), Cindy Reston (Erin Darke), at “News of the Week,” who simply ask to be treated fairly. Their revolutionary request, led by lawyer Eleanor Holmes Norton (Joy Bryant) will spark convulsive changes and upend marriages, careers, sex lives, love lives, and friendships. The pilot is inspired by the landmark sexual discrimination cases chronicled in Lynn Povich’s book, The Good Girls Revolt.

Tonight is the series premiere of Live PD on A&E at 9/8c. As the debate over the policing of America continues to be a part of the daily conversation across the nation, A&E will offer viewers unfettered and unfiltered live access inside the country’s busiest police forces and the communities they patrol in the new documentary series Live PD. Over the course of eight weeks, dash cams along with fixed rig and handheld cameras, will capture the work of a varied mix of urban and rural police forces around the country on a typical Friday night. In-studio host, ABC’s Dan Abrams, alongside Dallas Police Department Detectives Rich Emberlin and Kevin Jackson will guide viewers through the night, giving insight to what audiences are seeing in real time, bouncing minute-by-minute between the featured police departments and offering an inside look at each live incident.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Tracey Ullman’s Show on HBO at 11/10c. The show stars HBO veteran, Tracey Ullman, as a wide array of everyday people and famous faces in an all-new sketch comedy series, which looks at modern life on the British side of the pond. In this series Ullman brings her masterful skills to take on such people as Dame Judi Dench and Angela Merkel, as well as a host of others.
