If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/27/16

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

ncisla1127smallLast week’s NCIS: LA was a big one for Callen. A woman (Mary Reynolds / Katerina Polunin) was poisoned, and the team was notified by Artem Fedor that he’d been hired to do it but had been called off, so he knew she’d been killed. The woman was indeed poisoned by the Russians. She wasn’t dead yet, but they knew it wouldn’t be long. What they found out was the woman was originally from Russia and had been brought to the US years ago by none other than Callen’s father, Garrison, who apparently has been in contact with Arkady (whether for all this time or just for a while, I don’t know…). Arkady let him know about the woman, and Callen’s father came to the hospital to protect her. He got there in time to shoot one of the two bad guys who’d come to make sure she was dead, but he was found over the dead guy’s body, which meant Callen and Sam had to bring him in for questioning.

In the end, Callen’s father turned out to be the good guy in all of it, of course, even putting his life on the line to save the woman’s daughter, Alex, when the bad guys kidnapped her, looking for the money they believed the woman had taken that would lead back to their guy in charge in Russia (head of the Russian “Secret Service”). And Garrison finally told Callen…Alex was his daughter (Callen’s half-sister), and her child his grandson (Callen’s nephew). Callen admitted that he still hadn’t forgiven his father, but they’re beginning to come to some sort of peace. Maybe now they can stay in touch! Callen has some family now, which is awesome.

We also saw Kensi spending some downtime with Callen and Sam, which was fun. She’s walking now, albeit not as fast as usual, and she’s still having a lot of problems with her left hand/fingers. But Deeks is still right there by her side, and as he showed her by getting her to clasp his hand, there’s still hope.

On tonight’s episode, “Sirens,” after an unknown female assailant kills two men disguised as Sherriff’s deputies in front of Callen’s home, the NCIS team gets a new lead in the ongoing mole investigation. Also, Nell visits a prison to interview an inmate withholding information on the department’s leak. Plus, Kensi has to deal with both her mother and Deeks’s during her recovery. Pamela Reed (Roberta Deeks), Laura Harring (Julia Feldman), & Adam Bartley (Carl Brown) guest star.

To see what the team learns about the mole tonight, tune in to CBS at 8:30/7:30c (but record extra long in case of football overruns!)

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, The Librarians, Holiday Baking Championship, & Clash of the Grandmas.
