Tonight is the series premiere of Everest Rescue on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Every year, hundreds of climbers and Sherpas attempt to scale one of the most beautiful and dangerous wonders of the world: Mount Everest. For every 10 people who reach the summit, one will die trying. It’s dangerous, it’s difficult and it’s death-defying — for the lucky. With the margin of error between life and death so fine, the fate of even the most experienced climbers and Sherpas rests in the hands of the world’s most elite band of helicopter pilots. The show journeys to the tops of the treacherous Everest Himalayan Mountains, highlighting the work of a rare breed of pilots who put their lives on the line to save those facing certain death. The series features exclusive access to a group of diverse helicopter pilots as they manage emergency calls during the 2016 climbing season as well as intimate interviews with them and their loved ones. In addition, virtual reality extras will be available on DiscoveryVR.com. Shot over three days with rigged VR cameras on helicopters, these two exclusive pieces transport viewers to the mountain where Sir Edmund Hilary and his team made those first historic steps up the Southern Face of Everest to the summit. They feature a detailed tour of the mountain and an inside look at Lukla — the world’s most dangerous airport.

Hosted by Andy Richter, each episode of the half-hour, studio-based game show will feature one celebrity and three of his or her fans battling it out to prove who is the ultimate super fan. Contestants will go head-to-head to see who knows more about the episode’s featured celebrity. The winner will move on to the final round in an ultimate showdown, celebrity vs. super fan, to see who knows most about the celebrity. Tonight is the series premiere of Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian on E! at 8/7c. In each of the eight, one-hour episodes, participants will get the opportunity to reinvent themselves from the inside out with the help of Khloé and some of the best fitness and nutrition experts in the world. Whether these men and women have been dumped, are trying to mend relationships, or facing any of life’s other tough challenges, Khloé — who has overcome her own body issues — is there to help. Khloé personally gets to know them, finds out what has broken them down, and gives them the tools they need to build themselves back up. The result is a journey to obtain the ultimate revenge. With the help of Khloé’s elite celebrity trainers, stylists, and glam squads, participants work hard to transform their bodies over the course of 12 weeks to be best versions of themselves. The results display a significant change for each participant, leading to a final reveal to the world and confront with those who doubted them. From a man who gained weight after being dumped by his ex to a couple that both packed on the weight during their relationship, each episode will feature everyday people tackling what’s holding them back from being the best they can be.

Tonight is also the series premiere of My Kitchen Rules on FOX at 9:01/8:01c. The unscripted cooking series will pit celebrity duos against each other as they cook and critique each other’s food, in Hollywood homes. The teams will take turns hosting intimate dinner parties with a menu designed to impress their rival competitors and two professional chef judges, Curtis Stone and Cat Cora. Celebrities featured on the series include Lance Bass, Brandy & Ray J, Andrew Dice Clay, Brandi Glanville and Naomi Judd. With escalating rounds of competition, the celebrity duo with the lowest score at the end of each round will be eliminated. The last two teams standing will battle it out in the final round for a pressure-cooker evening during which they will prepare and present their ultimate dining menu. In the end, only one team will survive the heat, the drama and the right to claim my kitchen rules.

Tonight is the series premiere of Caraoke Showdown on Spike TV at 10:30/9:30c. This party-on-wheels has the ultimate emcee in host, actor, and comedian Craig Robinson who literally drives the fun-filled ride that gives unsuspecting passengers the trip of their lives. Caraoke Showdown takes groups of passengers on a musical journey to win money by competing in a variety of karaoke-style challenges. Throughout various rounds of game play, contestants compete for cash by belting out their favorite tunes, finishing lyrics or acting out songs. Also adding to the “anything can happen” atmospherem special guests hop in from time to time and help our singers win big. This musical trip isn’t just confined to inside the “caraoke.” Gameplay can take contestants on to the street recruiting pedestrians (and total strangers!) in a variety of music-related challenges. Each episode ends when the two teams with the most prize money “crash” an event at surprise locations. The finalists then must perform karaoke in front of a crowd that ultimately gets to determine the grand prize winner.

Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, the show recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and also stars Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket), Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Malina Weissman (Violet Baudelaire), and Louis Hynes (Klaus Baudelaire).

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of Sneaky Pete on Amazon at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Starring Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar), Marin Ireland (Side Effects), three-time Emmy winner Margo Martindale (The Americans), Peter Gerety (Prime Suspect), Libe Barer (Parenthood), Shane McRae (Still Alice), and Michael Drayer (Mr. Robot), the show revolves around a con man, Marius (Ribisi), who gets out of prison only to find himself hunted by the vicious gangster he once robbed. Con man Marius, with nowhere else to turn, takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete, and then “reunites” with Pete’s estranged family – who have no reason to suspect he’s not their long-lost loved one. When a gangster holds his brother hostage for ransom, Marius must find a way to free him while at the same time struggling to keep his lies from backfiring. Meanwhile, his new “relatives” are a colorful group who give him a taste of the loving family he’s never had, but have secrets and lies of their own that threaten to drag Marius into a world every bit as dangerous as the one he’s trying to escape.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Wheel on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. The show dares six participants to survive in six distinctly grueling landscapes across South America. With every turn of the wheel, each survivalist is dropped into a new isolated location, exposed to the world’s deadliest terrains, including freezing tundra, rugged mountains, and treacherous rainforest. Participants don’t know when or why the wheel will turn — nor that their stint at each spot is determined by the rotation of the moon. Equipped only with light survival packs and SOS devices that can be used at any time to quit the challenge and call for help, they must fend for their lives by procuring food, water and shelter. And when the wheel turns again, they will be thrust into a new location, forced to use a completely different set of skills to survive. This is the ultimate survival challenge: survive not one, but six lethal environments over the course of 60 days. The participants are not typical survival experts, but rather everyday people with something to prove. Unbeknownst to them, the wheel is a mechanism that mirrors the lunar calendar. With every phase of the moon, the wheel will turn and send each person to a new eco-zone. The amount of time at each location is revealed only to viewers, leaving the survivors to agonize and obsess over when the wheel will spin again. As every rotation thrusts them — without warning — into a new harrowing domain, participants are completely at the wheel’s mercy. Will the survivalists have what it takes to endure the harsh terrains? Or will the challenges prove insurmountable? Watch as participants battle the elements and their own mental stamina to see who will survive “the wheel.”
