On last week’s Criminal Minds, bodies (well, torsos…) were being found without the heads, legs, and arms. It was a creepy case of an abusive husband turning into a serial killer, but the team did catch up to him – just in time, too, before he could kill his husband. And poor Reid… He has his mom at home with him, trying to take care of her, but it’s a big job. He finally found someone who could handle helping him while he was out of town for work, but he’s keeping her in the dark with the mysterious drugs he’s giving his mom. He finally admitted at the end of the episode last week that trying to take care of her at home may be too much for him to handle. So what are the drugs he didn’t tell the caregiver about? And is he really going to move his mom to a home? And given the description for tonight’s episode, what in the world happened between last week and this?! I’ve read several places that this episode changes Reid’s life in a drastic way. I don’t think the actor is going anywhere, unless it’s the biggest secret the show’s ever kept. So…
On tonight’s episode, “Spencer,” when a BAU member gets in trouble in Mexico, the team enlists the services of the International Response Team for their help. Alana De La Garza & Daniel Henney from Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders guest star.
Find out why Reid is in Mexico tonight on CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Blindspot, The Goldbergs, Hunted, Lethal Weapon, Cooks vs Cons, Law & Order: SVU, Modern Family, black-ish, Bakers vs Fakers, Chicago PD, Match Game, & Six.

Tonight, Katherine Heigl returns to television in CBS’s new legal drama, Doubt. Defense attorneys Sadie Ellis (Heigl) and Albert Cobb (Dulé Hill, Psych) are workaholics who usually let their jobs take over their personal lives. And Sadie often gets a little too close to her clients – case in point, her latest client, the wealthy plastic surgeon Billy Brennan (Steven Pasquale, The Good Wife, Bloodline), who’s on trial for a murder he may have committed almost 24 years earlier. The boutique law firm is run by Isaiah Roth (Elliott Gould, Ray Donovan) who, in the opener, finds himself stalked by a young lawyer, Nick Brady (Kobi Libii, Madam Secretary, Jessica Jones), who is looking for a job. Meanwhile, transgender Ivy League lawyer Cameron Wirth (Laverne Cox, Orange is the New Black) has her own ambitious second-year associate Tiffany Simon (Dreama Walker, The Good Wife, Don’t Trust The B—- in Apt #23) to mentor.
I’m happy to see Katherine Heigl back on my TV in what looks to be a pretty solid legal show. In tonight’s premiere, we meet the characters, get a glimpse into some of their personal lives, the office relationships and politics, and see how the different lawyers each approach their cases. The series has a nice blend of serious legal drama, humor, and some interesting twists. I’ll definitely be checking out more.
On tonight’s premiere, “Pilot,” a successful defense attorney begins falling for her client, a charismatic surgeon who just might be guilty of committing a grisly murder.
Meet the new legal team tonight on CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Speechless, Modern Family, black-ish, Match Game, Hunted, Criminal Minds, Arrow, The 100, Spy in the Wild: A Nature Miniseries, Workaholics, Jeff & Some Aliens, Legion, Man Seeking Woman, The Magicians, The Expanse, and Suits. (Is that all?!)
It is a wonderful thing when a show can keep you sitting on the edge of your seat with every new episode, and somehow Blindspot seems to do it. Last episode, we learned that Shepherd has had an interest in Weller since he was a young boy, paying for his schooling under the false pretense of a charity. This led to a few interesting moments but left us hanging when Shepherd ambushed Weller at the end. I’m really hoping they get to the end of this story shortly, because I’m ready to move on to a new bad guy for this show. Shepherd stresses me out too much.
On tonight’s new episode, “Borrow or Rob,” a tattoo points the team toward a powerful collegiate secret society, but they can’t infiltrate it without the help of one of its alumni…Rich Dotcom.
To see how Weller adjusts to his new knowledge about Shepherd and his past, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Criminal Minds, Hunted, Lethal Weapon, Law & Order: SVU, Star, Doubt, and Chicago PD.
