I was really hyped when I heard that MacGyver and Hawaii Five-0 would be doing a crossover, because I love both shows and think it could be amazing. After reading details in an interview with one of the producers or whatever, I’m not as excited. It should still be fun, but they could have done SO MUCH MORE. Regardless, it looks like a fun episode of MacGyver, and I always love the gang in Hawaii, so… Just FYI… Other than a mention of Mac (& the team?) on Hawaii Five-0, the crossover ONLY happens in MacGyver.

On tonight’s episode of MacGyver, “Flashlight,” when Mac and the team travel to Hawaii to aid in earthquake relief efforts, they team up with Chin and Kono from the Five-0 task force to rescue a group of government scientists trapped in a building. However, as they work on the complicated rescue, a group using the chaos as a distraction aims to steal the top-secret weaponry from the scientists. Taylor Willy also guest stars as Kamekona.

Then on Hawaii Five-0, “Puka ‘ana (Exodus),” McGarrett and Kono suspect that an abused young girl may be the victim of a sex trafficking ring on the Island. Also, Chin and Grover investigate a murder at a sober living facility.

Get two hours of fun in Hawaii tonight on CBS, starting at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Grimm, Last Man Standing, & Blue Bloods.

Blue Bloods returns tonight with an all-new episode, and I for one am super excited. When it’s not on for a week, I definitely miss it. Week after week this show manages to bring suspense, character growth, humor, and at times a whole lot of sexual tension. Honestly, when are Eddie and Jamie finally going to be a couple? The sexual tension between these two is becoming almost too much to watch at times. The writers need to stop the go around, because it’s driving me batty.

On the last episode, Nicky went on a ride-along with Jamie and learned the hard way that it isn’t always easy to fix certain situations. They were called to an apartment about a noise complaint, but they found a woman who was being abused by her husband and her kids were covering it up. The woman stayed because her husband provided financially for the family, but Nicky just couldn’t understand why she stayed. Nicky kept going back to try to convince the woman to leave her husband and left her phone number the last time, which led to the husband brutally beating his wife again. This time, however, he didn’t get away with it, because the son stepped in and stabbed his father, leading to his arrest. It was a giant mess, but Nicky’s heart was in the right place. It just didn’t go as planned. Jamie taught her that sometimes things aren’t able to be fixed so easily and sometimes pushing the situation ends badly for everyone involved.

On tonight’s episode, “Shadow of a Doubt,” Jamie and Eddie suspect foul play when they respond to a distress call from a woman having an allergic reaction to her lifesaving medication and learn that her husband is an EMT assigned to take her call but didn’t respond. Also, Erin learns that a man she convicted years earlier might be innocent of the crime, and Frank handles a PR crisis in his department when an exposé on Garrett Moore is published.

Find out how Frank deals with this PR nightmare tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, MacGyver, Sleepy Hollow, Grimm, The Vampire Diaries, Gold Rush, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
