Tonight, HBO’s high-tech comedy, Silicon Valley, returns for its fourth season on HBO. As the third season ended, the guys had realized they had only beta tested their new Pied Piper app with engineers, and even though it was a great program, it was too complicated for the general user to understand, so the adoption rate was extremely slow. So Richard hired a foreign click farm in order to fudge the numbers. Once Laurie got wind of this, she decided it was time for her to take her money out of the company. When she said she was selling her shares to the despicable person who made her the best offer, the guys feared she meant Gavin Belson. However, they were thrilled to learn that it was Erlich and Big Head who bought her shares, who had just barely outbid their overly confident competitor. But Gavin has hired former Pied Piper CEO Jack Barker at Hooli, and it seems like the pair has hatched some sort of revenge plan.

I just really enjoy this show. Having worked in the high-tech industry for a long time, I find these characters and situations so relatable and fun to watch. I love the quick pace of the series and how each episode always ends with some kind of big twist or reveal that makes you want to immediately see what happens next. I’m really curious to see how things play out now that Elrich is sort of in charge. Who will be the CEO of Pied Piper, what kind of crazy new characters will we meet, how will Gavin mess up things again at Hooli this season, and what do he and Jack Barker have planned?

I’m giving away a copy of the third season of Silicon Valley on Blu-ray at NoReruns.net, and today is the final day to enter. You can find the giveaway at: http://www.noreruns.net/2017/04/03/giveaway-win-silicon-valley-season-3-on-blu-ray/

On tonight’s premiere, “Success Failure,” the guys struggle to find funding for Pied Piper’s video-chat app to keep up with their rapidly growing user base. Meanwhile, Erlich encounters resistance from Big Head’s dad; Gavin clashes with Jack Barker at Hooli; and Richard hatches a revolutionary idea that could change his future.

See if the guys can find the funding they need tonight on HBO at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Madam Secretary, Bob’s Burgers, Making History, The Last Man on Earth, Into the Badlands, Mary Kills People, The Leftovers, Veep, and Guerrilla.

I’m still on the fence about Chicago Justice. It doesn’t always work out to be a happily ever after for the good guys (like it does 99.99% of the time on Blue Bloods, for example), and I don’t like that. But regardless, I love most of the cast, and the cases are usually pretty good. Like last week’s escape room killing. The case was really interesting. I felt really bad for Abigail Chapman, who had been imprisoned in Spain for years before even going on trial for killing her boyfriend. We never got a clear answer, but I don’t think she did it, and we KNOW she didn’t kill the girl in Chicago. The professor was everything I detest about the “college” mindset. That’s a personal thing with me, but the case hit me hard. And the actual killer who put the professor on a pedestal and thought of him as the father-figure she didn’t have… I don’t know if she was wackadoodle or what. But she sure seemed a little crazy.

Tonight’s episode is very timely, given the violence we’ve seen lately on Facebook especially. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle it.

On tonight’s episode, “Drill,” after an innocent girl is killed in a gang-related shooting that was instigated on social media, Stone’s obsession for justice endangers the family of a cooperating witness. To salvage his crumbling case, Stone must go head-to-head in the courtroom against both the social media providers who inadvertently fueled the gang war and a cocky young man who may have pulled the trigger.

To see how Stone puts the family in danger, tune in to NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, Little Big Shots, NCIS: LA, Iron Chef Gauntlet, Match Game, & Iron Chef Eats.
