Tonight is the series premiere of Get Shorty on Epix at 10/9c. Inspired by Elmore Leonard’s 1990 New York Times bestselling novel, Get Shorty is the story of Miles Daly, played by Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids, This Is 40) who works as muscle for a murderous crime ring in Nevada and attempts to change professions and become a movie producer, laundering money through a Hollywood film. Three-time Emmy award winner Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond, Parenthood) stars as Rick, a washed up producer of low quality films who becomes Miles’ partner and guide through the maze of Hollywood. Get Shorty also stars Sean Bridgers, Lidia Porto, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters and Carolyn Dodd.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Guy’s Family Road Trip on Food Network at 10/9c. For years Guy Fieri has explored America, seeking out the best spots on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Now, he is sharing that experience with his family as they hit the road for the classic American tradition: a family road trip from sea to shining sea! Guy, his wife Lori, and his sons Hunter and Ryder load up their RV to hit the road on a vacation they will never forget. From rafting in the Grand Canyon to rolling down Route 66, and from creole cooking in New Orleans to pit stops stuffed with campfire feasts, this road trip is full of great food, iconic locations and big adventure!

Tonight is the series premiere of The Murder of Laci Peterson on A&E at 10/9c. Featuring new interviews with Scott Peterson himself from prison, the series explores the infamous Scott Peterson trial, the case that destroyed a family, gripped a nation and defined an era, as a vehicle for understanding America’s criminal justice system and the ways in which outside influences can affect that system. The mystery of Laci Peterson’s disappearance on Christmas Eve 2002 captivated the nation. Eight months pregnant, she vanished without a trace. Her body and that of her unborn child, Conner, appeared four months later on the shores of the San Francisco Bay, causing a media frenzy on both a local and national level. To this day, no one knows exactly when, where or how she died, only that her husband Scott Peterson was convicted of murder and sentenced to death, despite the absence of DNA evidence or eyewitness testimony. Scott Peterson’s conviction was less a tribute to the efficacy of the legal system than it was a case study for the overwhelming power of modern media to deliver the facts of news in a way that creates irresistible tabloid fodder.

Tonight is the series premiere of Marlon on NBC at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. Loosely inspired by the real life of star Marlon Wayans (In Living Color, Scary Movie), this update to the classic family comedy centers on a loving (but inappropriate) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. While his misguided fatherly advice, unstoppable larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet superstardom might get in the way sometimes, for Marlon family really always does come first — even if he’s the biggest kid of all. The cast includes Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins, Bresha Webb, Diallo Riddle, Notlim Taylor, and Amir O’Neil.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Growing Up Supermodel on Lifetime at 10:02/9:02c. The show follows a new group of hot young models risking it all to live up to the careers of their famous parents. With the names and the genes of their gorgeous parents on their side, these celebrity offspring seem destined to make it to the top, but the right DNA is only half the battle in this competitive world. These young models are all finding out that making a career is hard work, and having a famous name is a double-edged sword, creating expectations and burdens at the same time it generates opportunities. Meanwhile, the parents, whose success has paved the way, discover that being a star is much easier than raising one. Growing Up Supermodel follows the family dynamics and exciting and unpredictable careers of some of the top young models on the scene today: celebrity daughters Cambrie and Faith Schroder, Atiana De La Hoya (daughter of actress/model Shanna Moakler and boxer Oscar De La Hoya), Arissa Le Brock (daughter of supermodel/actress Kelly Le Brock and actor Steven Seagal), Cairo Peele (daughter of supermodel Beverly Peele), Jake Moritt (son of actress Krista Allen), and Janis Ostojic (son of internationally acclaimed model JD Ostojic).

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of MTV Undressed on MTV at 11/10c. This is a one of a kind social experiment that strips away the distractions and superficiality of the digital world. In each episode of this dating experiment, MTV brings together two strangers who must undress each other before getting to know one another for the next thirty minutes, answering questions and performing simple challenges — all designed to test whether or not romance can blossom. At the end, each partner must press a YES/NO button to decide if he or she wants to continue the fledgling relationship or say goodbye.
