If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/13/17

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Kyle’s Choice

Tonight The CW sees the return of musical comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. As the second season came to a close, Rebecca and Josh were preparing for their wedding, though it was Rebecca who was doing most of the planning. Rebecca’s father returned, but instead of giving her the nod of approval she always yearned for, he was just there to ask for money. Meanwhile, Josh started to have doubts and ultimately decided to call off the wedding. He then made the extreme choice to become a priest. Rebecca, distraught from this news, was about to jump off a cliff when Paula talked her down. Now the only thing on Rebecca’s mind is getting revenge on Josh Chan.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend can be soapy, campy, and over-the-top, but that’s what makes it so much fun – along with the hilarious musical numbers in each episode. I’m really looking forward to tonight’s premiere to see what Rebecca has in store for her revenge plan. Will Josh really become a priest? Will Rebecca finally move on and find someone else to obsess about? What other crazy situations will these people get up to? And what kind of extremely inappropriate song topics/lyrics can we look forward to this season?

On tonight’s premiere, “Josh’s Ex-Girlfriend Wants Revenge,” Rebecca plots revenge against Josh after he abandoned her at the altar. Meanwhile, White Josh and Darryl work on some problems; and Paula and Scott confront some unusual issues in their marriage.

Catch up with Rebecca and her friends tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Inhumans, Jane the Virgin, Room 104, and Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus.

Megan’s Choice

One of the reasons I have always loved Hell’s Kitchen is the drama, and this season is full of it for sure. Bringing back the All-Stars is a wonderful way to spice things up – especially with so many personalities. At the moment, I don’t have a favorite because I’m just waiting to see where it goes, but I do really like Milli. He has a great heart, superb skills, and I think he could win this time.

On tonight’s episode, “Tower of Terror,” Ramsay challenges the remaining chefs to complete a four-tiered shellfish tower with “fast hands.” Each team is divided into four teams of two, with each pair completing one tier at a time. The first team to finish all four tiers wins and is rewarded with a glamorous day in Malibu. Meanwhile, the losing team must prep for a massive fish delivery. Then, the dinner service begins with a rocky start, as Chef Ramsay sends multiple entrees back to the kitchen and temporarily kicks out one of the All-Stars. In the end, one team manages to improve its performance, while the other fails to impress.

To see which of the teams manages to edge the other one out, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, and MacGyver.
