Tonight is the series premiere of The Zimmern List on Travel Channel at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. As one of one of the world’s most well-traveled food explorers, Travel Channel host Andrew Zimmern is an expert on all the best things to eat in a city. Now, Zimmern is sharing his personal recommendations on the food and places where he most loves to eat. In each of the 18 half-hour episodes, Zimmern literally serves as the viewers guide to each town he visits. While immersed in the unique food culture, he reveals some of his favorite eating experiences. Throw out the guidebooks because Zimmern knows where to picnic with a sandwich from his favorite Italian deli in Boston and where to find the best taco truck for casual late-night dining in Las Vegas.

Tonight is also the series premiere of For the People on ABC at 10/9c. Set in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (a.k.a. “The Mother Court”), the new series show follows six talented young lawyers working on opposite sides of the law and handling the most high-profile and high-stakes federal cases in the country. Best friends Sandra Bell and Allison Adams serve as public defenders alongside Jay Simmons and their boss, Federal Public Defender Jill Carlan. They face off against prosecutors Seth Oliver, Leonard Knox, Kate Littlejohn, and their supervisor, chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Roger Gunn. Our lawyers are joined by Judge Nicholas Byrne, who rules on some of the court’s most controversial cases, and Tina Krissman, the formidable clerk of Court who keeps everyone in line. These young lawyers will be put to the test both personally and professionally as their lives intersect in and out of America’s most prestigious trial court. For the People stars Britt Robertson as Sandra Bell, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Allison Adams, Ben Rappaport as Seth Oliver, Susannah Flood as Kate Littlejohn, Wesam Keesh as Jay Simmons, Regé-Jean Page as Leonard Knox, Ben Shenkman as Roger Gunn, Hope Davis as Jill Carlan, Vondie Curtis-Hall as Judge Nicholas Byrne and Anna Deavere Smith as Tina Krissman.

When dedicated teacher and family man Lou Mazzuchelli (Josh Radnor, How I Met Your Mother) sheds his own self-doubt and takes over the school’s lackluster theater department, he galvanizes not only the faculty and students but the entire working-class town. Inspired by a true story. The cast also includes Rosie Perez, Marley Shelton, Auli’i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Amy Forsyth, Rarmian Newton, Ted Sutherland, Casey Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joe Tippett, and Shirley Rumierk.
