Tonight is the series premiere of Last Call on Bounce TV at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. The show stars Charles Malik Whitfield (Empire, If Loving You is Wrong) as Darius Knight, an ex-NFL player who — after discovering his business manager ran off with all his money — opens a comedy club in the backroom of his only remaining investment: a Baltimore bar named Last Call. The bar regulars are then forced to share their favorite watering hole with a parade of comics while Darius climbs out of debt. Principal cast members include T.C. Carson (Living Single), Carl Payne (Martin), Brely Evans (Being Mary Jane), Mishon Ratliff (Lincoln Heights), and Erica Page (Office Christmas Party). Season one will feature guest appearances from Towanda Braxton (Braxton Family Values), Pierre (How to Be a Player), Vanessa Fraction (Barbershop 2), Karlous Miller (Wild’N Out), David Otunga (WWE Raw), and Teresa “Top Notch” Nelson (Wild’N Out). Cynthia Bailey (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) and Lisa Wu (Hollywood Divas) also make appearances on Last Call this season.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Passage on FOX at 9/8c. Based on author Justin Cronin’s best-selling trilogy of the same name, this is an epic, character-driven thriller written by Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights). Executive-produced by Ridley Scott (The Martian, Gladiator) and writer/director Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield), the show focuses on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race. When a young girl, Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney, Fences, Hidden Figures) is chosen to be a test subject, Federal Agent Brad Wolgast (Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Pitch, Franklin & Bash) is the man who is tasked with bringing her to Project Noah. Ultimately, however, Wolgast becomes her surrogate father, as he tries to protect her at any cost. Brad and Amy’s journey will force them to confront Project Noah’s lead scientist, Major Nichole Sykes (Caroline Chikezie, The Shannara Chronicles), and the hardened ex-CIA operative in charge of operations, Clark Richards (Vincent Piazza, Boardwalk Empire, Rescue Me), whom Brad trained. It likewise brings them face-to-face with a dangerous new race of beings confined within the walls of Project Noah, including former scientist Tim Fanning (Jamie McShane, Bosch, Bloodline, Sons of Anarchy) and death-row inmate Shauna Babcock (Brianne Howey, The Exorcist). In seeking out any allies he can find, Brad also turns to his former wife, Dr. Lila Kyle (Emmanuelle Chriqui, Entourage, Murder in the First), for help. But as Project Noah’s scientists hone in on a cure that could save humanity, these new beings begin to test their own powers, inching one step closer to an escape that could lead to an unimaginable apocalypse.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Lost Gold on Travel Channel at 10/9c. The show follows brothers Josh and Jesse Feldman as they seek out America’s most fabled missing treasures. With a family history steeped in lost mines, buried gold and Old West lore, the Arizona natives aren’t your typical treasure hunters. To unravel these more than 100-year-old mysteries, the Feldmans put themselves in the shoes of the people of the era. Every hunt is grounded in history: they search for old maps, diaries and records, as well as connect with locals who have intimate knowledge of the area. With reverence for the past and a taste for adventure, the brothers track legends and clues across the vast American Frontier in search of unfound riches. Throughout each of the six one-hour episodes, their dogged determination will uncover new leads, fresh perspectives on history and even gold.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Made in Staten Island on MTV at 10/9c. Staten Island was home to New York’s most notorious mafia families. Now, a new crop of hustlers has emerged. The coming-of-age series follows eight Staten Islanders as they battle each other, and the odds, to step out from the shadows and change the reputation of the island. These friends will either choose wisely, or fall prey to the mistakes of past generations.

Tonight is the series premiere of Roswell, New Mexico on The CW at 9/8c. More than maybe anywhere else on Earth, Roswell, New Mexico is ground zero for those who seek proof that aliens exist. Roswell native Liz Ortecho left it all behind 10 years ago, after the death of her beloved older sister, Rosa. But with her father ailing, she reluctantly returns to her tourist-trap hometown to move back in with him. When Liz arrives, she reconnects with Max Evans, her teenage crush who is now a Roswell police officer. Their chemistry is instantly electric. But Liz soon discovers a shocking truth: Max is an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life, along with those of his otherworldly siblings, Isobel and Michael. As the two grow closer after a decade apart, Liz finds it difficult to keep the truth from her best friend, Maria De Luca, and her trusting high school ex, Dr. Kyle Valenti. Also hiding their extraterrestrial origins are Isobel and Michael, with Isobel not even revealing the truth to her husband, Noah, and Michael keeping his identity hidden beneath a bad-boy exterior of hard living and casual hookups. Meanwhile, a long-standing government conspiracy spearheaded by Master Sgt. Jesse Manes, along with the politics of fear and hatred that run rampant in Roswell, threatens to expose Max and his family, and could endanger his deepening romance with Liz…as well as their lives. The show stars Jeanine Mason, Nathan Parsons, Michael Trevino, Lily Cowles, Michael Vlamis, Tyler Blackburn, Heather Hemmens, Trevor St. John and Karan Oberoi.

Saturday

Saturday is the 90-minute series premiere of Smiley Face Killers: THe Hunt for Justice on Oxygen at 7/6c. The series follows an active private investigation spearheaded by retired NYPD Detective Kevin Gannon and his veteran team of investigators as they work with victims’ families and top forensic experts to further investigate and question that the country’s most notorious string of mysterious, accidental drownings aren’t accidents, but homicides; and they could all be connected to a larger theory of The Smiley Face Killers.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Dynasties on BBC America at 9/8c. The five-part series follows five of the world’s most celebrated but endangered animals, as they do whatever it takes to survive and protect their next generation. Over four years in the making, Dynasties focuses in never-seen-before detail on one particular family from each species per episode — lions, chimpanzees, tigers, painted wolves, and Emperor penguins — as they play politics, make alliances, launch take-overs, battle rivals and deal with interfamily animosity.

Tonight is also a new episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC at 11:29/10:29c, with host Rachel Brosnahan and musical guest Greta Van Fleet.
