Tonight is the series premiere of Show Offs on BYUtv at 8/7c. The hilarious, interactive musical improv series gives its cast, along with a special celebrity guest, the chance to “show off” by performing a spontaneous improvised play or musical, prompted by random ideas from the studio audience and accompanied by a live band. Dwight’s “kiss” awakens Gretta, her court magician, Baldric (Joel McCrary), as well as scores of medieval villains, and makes Dwight her de facto champion until her hordes of enemies are defeated.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of The Fix on ABC at 10/9c. Attorney and author Marcia Clark is the co-writer and executive producer of a new legal drama about Maya Travis, an LA district attorney who suffers a devastating defeat when prosecuting an A-list actor for double murder. With her high-profile career derailed, she flees for a quieter life in Washington. Eight years later when this same celebrity is under suspicion for another murder, Maya Travis is lured back to the DA’s office for another chance at justice. The show stars Robin Tunney (The Mentalist), Brecking Meyer (Franklin & Bash, Men at Work), Adam Rayner (Hawthorne, Tyrant, Mistresses), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (American Odyssey, Ten Days in the Valley), Alex Saxon, Marc Blucas (Necessary Roughness, Killer Women, Dietland, Underground), Merrin Dungey (Alias, Beyond, Conviction, The Resident, Summerland), Mouzam Makkar (Champions, Colony, Unveiled), & Scott Cohen (Allegiance, I’m Dying Up Here, Necessary Roughness).

Tonight is the series premiere of Mental Samurai on FOX at 9/8c. Game shows hit the next level on Mental Samurai, in which hopefuls from all walks of life attempt the first-ever obstacle course…for the mind. Contestants battle the boundaries of their minds to answer questions in four categories — knowledge, memory, puzzles and sequencing — accurately with speed and precision in an attempt to become a “Mental Samurai.” Rob Lowe hosts.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Lost Gold of World War II on History Channel at 10/9c. In the closing months of World War II, legend has it that Japanese soldiers — led by General Yamashita, along with allied POWs — constructed secret tunnels underground in dozens of locations and buried treasure worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Yamashita had the entrances blown up, trapping the soldiers inside to keep his secret. It’s a grand mystery that involves a secret cadre of princes called the Golden Lily, booby-trapped tunnels marked by ancient Japanese symbols, and real-life characters like Douglas MacArthur, Harry Truman, Winston Churchill, and FDR. One Filipino farmer witnessed the operation, and for the first time, he has entrusted his secrets to a group of dedicated investigators and engineers who are using the latest technology to search for the treasure — and the truth.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Village on NBC at 10:01/9:01c. Welcome to The Village! Despite differences in age, race, and culture, residents of this uniquely bonded Brooklyn building support one another in victory and defeat, thus proving life’s challenges are better faced alongside family, even if it’s the one you make wherever you find it. Sarah (Michaela McManus, SEAL Team, Aquarius, One Tree Hill) is a nurse and single mom navigating the emotional volatility of her creative teenage daughter; Gabe (Daren Kagasoff, The Secret Life of the American Teenager) is a young law student trapped between obligations to his grandfather (Dominic Chianese, The Sopranos) and to his career; Ava (Moran Atias, Crash, The Resident, Tyrant) is thrown into crisis when she’s arrested by ICE in front of her young son; Nick (Warren Christie, Alphas, Eyewitness, Happy Town, October Road) returns from war and discovers everything he left behind; Ron (Frankie Faison, Banshee) and Patricia (Lorraine Toussaint, Forever, Rosewood, Saving Grace) work to keep The Village family intact, even if it means neglecting their own well being. These are the hopeful, heart-warming and life-affirming stories that keep The Village family together. Also starring Jerod Haynes (Redliners) as Ben and Grace Van Dien (Greenhouse Academy) as Katie.

Finally, tonight is the 2-episode series premiere of The Act on Hulu at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. The Act is a seasonal anthology series that tells startling, stranger-than-fiction true crime stories. Based on the article “Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom To Be Murdered” by Michelle Dean, the first season follows Gypsy Blanchard, a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother. Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder. The Act stars Patricia Arquette (Medium, CSI: Cyber), Joey King (Bent, Fargo), Chloë Sevigny (Hit and Miss, The Cosmopolitans, Russian Doll), AnnaSophia Robb (The Carrie Diaries, Mercy Street), and Calum Worthy (American Vandal, Austin & Ally, Cassandra French’s Finishing School, Marvel’s New Warriors).

Tonight is the series premiere of Jo Frost: Killer Kids on Reelz at 8/7c. Child behavior expert and host Jo Frost is on a journey to find out why children kill. With more than 30 years of experience in her field, Frost is used to dealing with troubled kids but none of them have been quite as deranged as the individuals in this series. Frost will examine what makes a young person so angry and frustrated that they decide to take the life of another. Are they born with a lethal trigger inside of them or are they products of the environment around them? Is it nature or nurture?
