Tonight is the series premiere of City on a Hill on Showtime at 9/8c. Starring Kevin Bacon (The Following) and Aldis Hodge (Underground, The Leverage), the series is set in early 1990s Boston, rife with criminals emboldened by local law enforcement agencies in which corruption and racism was the norm. In this fictional account, assistant district attorney Decourcy Ward (Hodge) arrives from Brooklyn and forms an unlikely alliance with a corrupt yet venerated FBI veteran, Jackie Rohr (Bacon). Together, they take on a family of armored car robbers from Charlestown in a case that grows to involve, and ultimately subvert, the entire criminal justice system of Boston. It also stars Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom), Mark O’Brien (Halt and Catch Fire), Jill Hennessy (Crossing Jordan), Lauren E. Banks (Instinct), Amanda Clayton (Tyler Perry’s If Loving You Is Wrong), Sarah Shahi (Reverie, Person of Interest, Fairly Legal), Kevin Chapman (Brotherhood), Jere Shea (Passion), and Rory Culkin, with Kevin Dunn (Veep) recurring.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Euphoria on HBO at 10/9c. Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming) heads the ensemble cast of the show, which follows a group of high-school students as they navigate a minefield of drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship. The show puts a fresh spin on the coming-of-age narrative, exploring the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor. The series follows 17-year-old Rue Bennett (Zendaya), a drug addict fresh from rehab, who’s struggling to make sense of her future. Her life changes dramatically when she meets Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), a trans girl who recently moved to town following her parents’ divorce, and like Rue is searching for where she belongs. Also in Rue’s orbit are classmates Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie), Nate’s on- and off-again girlfriend; Chris McKay (Algee Smith), a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney), whose sexual history continues to dog her; Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow), Cassie’s younger sister and Rue’s level-headed childhood friend; and Kat Hernandez (Barbie Ferreira), a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality.

Tonight is the complete first season premiere of Das Boot on Hulu at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. A story of choices and survival, Das Boot explores the emotional torment of life during World War Two, and the brutal reality of living within a senseless war. During the Autumn of 1942, in occupied France, U-612 is now ready for its maiden voyage, preparing to head into the increasingly brutal warfare with its young crewmen, including the new captain, Klaus Hoffmann. As the 40 young men take on their first mission, they struggle with the cramped and claustrophobic conditions of life underwater. Their personalities are pushed to the limit as tensions rise and loyalties begin to shatter. Meanwhile, at the port of La Rochelle, the world of Simone Strasser spirals out of control as she is engulfed in a dangerous liaison and forbidden love, torn between her loyalty for Germany and the Resistance, and causing her to question everything. Could all she believed to be true, in fact be a lie? It stars Lizzy Caplan, James D’Arcy, August Wittgenstein, Franz Dinda, Leonard Scheicher, Rainer Bock, Rick Okon, Robert Stadlober, Stefan Konarske, Thierry Fremont, Tom Wlaschiha, Vicky Krieps, & Vincent Kartheiser.

Tonight is the series premiere of Ghosts of Morgan City on Travel Channel at 9/8c. Morgan City, Louisiana, is experiencing an especially troubling spike of unusual emergency calls – unexplained encounters with the ghosts of the bayou city’s turbulent past that are frightening its citizens. Police Chief James “Bo” Blair is now looking to his colleague from another jurisdiction for assistance. Chief Blair learns that paranormal activity in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, has quieted down since that town’s police chief, Mike King, worked with a specialty team to solve a rash of hauntings last year. In search of advice, Chief Blair contacts Chief King, eventually following his lead and recruiting local paranormal investigator Jereme Leonard, who teams up with former FBI agent Ben Hansen and psychic medium Sarah Lemos to look into the incidents. In each of the eight one-hour episodes, the paranormal team attempts to figure out what’s causing the recent uptick of bizarre activity by looking for patterns and clues in the new cases they investigate. With help from local historian Diane Wiltz, the team digs up the disturbing history associated with the area and begins crossing-over some of the restless spirits wreaking havoc on the small community. When they learn from Morgan City Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi that the hauntings have spread throughout the parish, the team begins working with the police departments of Patterson, Berwick and Franklin to uncover the truth behind the ghostly infestation of St. Mary Parish.

  1. Josh f says:

You’re missing Los espookys on hbo.

    • Jenny says:

I didn’t add it to the current’s week for the premiere because I thought…well, doesn’t matter. LOL It’s on for the week now. 🙂 Thanks.

  2. Jack Taylor says:

Wed night at 7pm, discovery, you have two shows at once, neither is on the real schedule

  3. Austin says:

The Bachelorette is back to Mondays this week not Tuesday.

    • Jenny says:

Thanks. Apparently my source was behind on updates, so when I did the schedule on Saturday, it hadn’t been updated yet. *sigh* Fixing now. 🙂

  4. Jay says:

Burden of Truth SEASON 2 HAS BEEN FINISHED FOR MONTHS… THOSE ARE OLD EPISODES NOT NEW ONES. SEASON 3 DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A RELEASE DATE YET.

  5. Jessica says:

Raising Wild hasn’t been on it may have been cancelled ☹️

    • Jenny says:

Hmm. Interesting. The first two episodes aired, I think. They show it on the Discovery site. But looks like anything after that isn’t listed anywhere, so maybe it has… 🙁

      • Jessica says:

Also tonight at 8pm Live PD is on

        • TV Is My Pacifier says:

Argh! LOL When I did the schedule, it wasn’t listed. Thanks. Too late to add it in now, but I just checked and it looks like this is the last Wednesday. I’ll be sure to check another source if I can remember just to make sure next week.

  6. Jodi says:

Thanks Jenny!!! I literally wouldn’t know what I’d do without you!!!! Appreciate you SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! Peace and Love

  7. Alicia Gaia Root says:

Did season three of The Wall really come out ? I can’t find it anywhere :/

    • Jenny says:

No, it didn’t. That was another instance of my source having it wrong when I wrote up that schedule. I think maybe it was supposed to but then got rescheduled and my source hadn’t updated yet. *sigh* This week, I was very careful to check two sources for every day, so I shouldn’t run into this issue. HOPEFULLY. lol
