If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/5/19

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

I don’t have Acorn TV (a streaming service that features many British, Canadian, & Australian – maybe others? – shows), so I’m not going to get to watch this…unless I decide to subscribe just for it, but I thought a new Australian show that premiered overnight last night in the US & Canada sounded interesting. My Life Is Murder stars Lucy Lawless stars as fearless and unapologetic ex-homicide detective turned private investigator Alexa Crowe. As she works in Melbourne, she’s assisted by ambitious twenty-something Madison Feliciano and her former boss, Detective Inspector Keiran Hussy, who now enlists Alexa on his trickiest cases.

The first season is only ten episodes. Acorn premiered the first two episodes overnight last night, with new episodes popping up every Monday morning after. You can check out the streaming service here for a 7-day free trial. After that, it’s $5.99/month or $59.99/year plus tax.

I’ll also be watching So You Think You Can Dance & Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
