Based on one of the most influential and important groups in hip-hop history, the show is inspired by “The Wu-Tang Manual” and “Tao of Wu” and based on the true story of the Wu-Tang Clan. Set in early ’90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, the show tracks the Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, who strives to unite a dozen young, black men that are torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories. It stars Ashton Sanders, Andrea-Rachel Parker, Anthony Chisholm, Armen Garo, Caleb Castille, Dave East, Ebony Obsidian, Erika Alexander, Johnell Young, Julian Elijah Martinez, Shameik Moore, Siddiq Saunderson, Vinnie Pastore, & Zolee Griggs.

Tonight is the series premiere of Activate on NGC at 8/7c. This is a multiplatform storytelling partnership and six-part documentary series — bolstered by custom content distributed across National Geographic’s unrivaled social, digital, linear and print channels. It will raise awareness about extreme poverty, inequality and sustainability issues to mobilize Global Citizens to drive meaningful and lasting change on the Global Citizen platform. Each episode delves into a different issue connected to the root causes of extreme poverty, following a specific Global Citizen campaign and the organizers, amplifiers, grassroots activists, action takers and people whose lives are being changed. Episode topics include eradicating extreme poverty, ending cash bail, breaking down barriers to girls’ education, funding education for displaced children, ending plastic pollution and helping solve the water crisis. The show will take audiences from the Global Citizen Festival stages to the front lines of change around the world while spotlighting real-time efforts to address issues related to extreme poverty. Through the eyes of activists including Hugh Jackman, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Becky G, Usher, Common, Rachel Brosnahan, Gayle King, Bonang Matheba, Pharrell Williams, Darren Criss and Uzo Aduba, and told through the iconic storytelling lens of National Geographic, viewers will hear the stories, meet the people and witness firsthand the work that is being done to combat extreme poverty and inspire a global movement. The series has been filmed internationally in Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, the Philippines, and South Africa, and across the United States in California, New York, Tennessee and Washington, D.C. The Activate partnership is the result of a shared commitment National Geographic, P&G, and Global Citizen have made to leverage their collective influence, audience and scale to both raise awareness and inspire a global community to take action.

Overnight last night, Netflix premiered the first season of The Spy at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. In the 1960s, Israeli clerk-turned-secret agent Eli Cohen goes deep undercover inside Syria on a perilous, years-long mission to spy for Mossad. The show stars Sacha Baron Cohen & Noah Emmerich.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Couples Therapy on Showtime at 10/9c. The show unlocks a hidden world: other people’s relationships. Far from reality-show caricatures, this is true documentary filmmaking that brings viewers into the authentic and visceral experience of weekly therapy with four couples. World-class therapist Dr. Orna Guralnik deftly guides the couples through the minefield of honest confrontation with each other and with themselves, revealing the real-life struggles — and extraordinary breakthroughs — typically hidden behind closed doors.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Good Talk with Anthony Jeslenik on Comedy Central at 11/10c. Each episode will feature an interview with one of Anthony’s friends – who happen to be some of the best comedians in the business – as they discuss all things comedy. Over the course of six episodes, Jeselnik will sit down with David Spade, Kristen Schaal, Kumail Nanjiani, Natasha Leggero, Nick Kroll, and Tig Notaro. In Good Talk, Jeselnik switches gears from his signature acerbic style for tongue-in-cheek interviews with his fellow comedians about their careers, influences and what it’s like to live in his massive shadow. Jeselnik and his guests center their extremely funny conversations around stand up, stories and bits and participate in elegantly bizarre studio segments.

Hia, You guys keep putting ghost adventures up but no new episodes are actually on tv. You have said that there’s a 2-hour special for the last 3 saturdays. An episodes hasnt been released since July 20th.
