Welcome to the Sunday edition of If We Controlled Your Remote… Didja miss us over the weekend? Pfft! Of course you did. Poor JJ is still sick, so for tonight, it’s just the three of us. But don’t let that throw you. You know we’re all excellent judges of what you should be watching. *grin*
Tonight is a special holiday episode of Iron Chef America. I love this show, especially when Michael Symon is part of the battle. I geek out over him all the time. *laugh* This battle is going to be fun because they are pitting three Food Network chefs against three chefs that have shows on the Cooking Channel. Yay!
On tonight’s episode, “Holiday Battle,” three chefs representing Food Network—Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, Robert Irvine, and Ted Allen—go head-to-head against three chefs representing Cooking Channel—Iron Chef Michael Symon, Nadia G., and Ben Sargent. The judges for this Food Network vs. Cooking Channel battle are Anthony Anderson, Aaron Sanchez, and Bobby Flay.

There are times when life is just too much to deal with, and television helps pulls us out of reality and escape into a different place. Tonight, The Amazing Race will be my escape. It’s one of those shows that, no matter how many times you watch, you never get tired of watching their drama because it’s not your own! The fact remains that human nature is astonishing as to what we can accomplish when we work together, but even more astounding is how a couple can fall apart when faced with a challenge. Who’s your pick?
On tonight’s episode, “Not a Well-Rounded Athlete,” the final four teams travel to Spain and visit professional tennis player Rafael Nadal’s practice courts; a team has a bloody encounter with a detour.
To see if your team makes it through, tune into CBS at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Amazing Race @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching The Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time, Iron Chef America, and America’s Funniest Home Videos.
I can’t wait for tonight’s mid-season finale of The Walking Dead! Last week, Rick and his crew cautiously let Michonne into the prison, where she told them about Glenn and Maggie, and about The Governor and Woodbury. So Rick took a small crew on a rescue mission. Along the way, they got stranded in a cabin surrounded by walkers. However, they managed to break free and reach the guarded walls of Woodbury. Meanwhile, The Governor tortured Glenn and Maggie to get information on where the rest of their group was—and Maggie eventually broke.
I can’t wait to see the face-off between Rick and The Governor. Michonne hasn’t told any of them about Merle or Andrea, so it should be interesting to see Daryl and the rest of the group’s reactions when they see them. Also, The Governor has sent his own small group to the prison, which is hardly guarded anymore, and that means it will be up to Carl to fight them off! I fully expect to be yelling at my TV when the credits appear—groaning about the long wait to resolve whatever cliffhanger we are left with tonight!
On tonight’s episode, “Made to Suffer,” a situation in Woodbury throws inhabitants for a loop and forces Andrea to take charge, while a new threat arises at the prison.
NOTE: Leading up to tonight’s finale at 9/8c, AMC is airing a marathon of the first 7 episodes of the season, starting at 2/1c.
