If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/24/13

It’s snowing…AGAIN! Our forecast shows 6-10 inches over the course of 24-36 hours. What the heck? It’s the third week of March! No more snow. Bad snow! LOL I know Megan’s right there with me. *laugh* So the two of us will be curled up under blankets on our sofas while we watch all the new television tonight…and right now, we’re all prepared to tell you what you should be watching. ;)

thementalist324smallLast week’s episode of The Mentalist was a good one. We focused a lot on the case of the week, a female Army medic who was killed near the military base. It was a heartbreaking case. The medic worked with soldiers who suffered from PTSD and memory problems. There was one soldier who my heart just broke for. Then to have the killer turn out to be the doctor…that was sad, but I was glad it wasn’t a soldier. Then, of course, Cho dealt with the sexual harassment claim. Eddie McClintock was great in his guest spot, and I liked that part of the episode.

On tonight’s episode, “Behind the Red Curtain,” the CBI team investigates when the young lead of a local theater production dies on the eve of the opening. Meanwhile, Jane hopes to get more information about Red John from the comatose Jason Lennon.

Don’t miss it tonight on CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Mentalist @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bible, Cupcake Wars, Worst Cooks in America, & Vikings.

vikings324smallVikings is one of those shows that had me on pins and needles from the very beginning. This show is superb television. At first, I was a little hesitant to watch the series, being concerned that it would be cheesy or poorly done, but History Channel came through with aces. These Norsemen are fierce, chaotic, and oddly sexy in their powerful conquering way—minus the nasty hygiene and hair. :)

On tonight’s episode, “Trial,” Ragnar and his crew head back to England with Earl Haraldson’s permission; the Vikings chose the Sabbath to invade the town of Hexam and unleash a flood of violence and panic.

To watch the carnage, tune in to History Channel at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Vikings @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching The Amazing Race, The Bible, The Walking Dead, and Once Upon a Time.

thewalkingdead324smallWhoa, things are coming to a head with only 2 episodes left to this season of The Walking Dead. Last week, Andrea learned of the Governor’s plans for Michonne and sneaked out of Woodbury to warn her friends, but the Governor chased after her. After a tense cat-and-mouse game in an abandoned building, Andrea trapped the Governor in a room with swarms of walkers and took off for the prison. Just as Andrea was waving to catch Rick’s attention, the Governor reappeared, bound and gagged her, and took her back to his torture room. Meanwhile, Milton burned down the Governor’s Biter farm.

Will Andrea get free? Maybe Milton will help her. Speaking of Milton, will the Governor make him pay for what he did? Will Rick give up Michonne in hopes of a truce? Will someone finally kill the Governor? I can’t wait to see what happens tonight!

On tonight’s episode, “This Sorrowful Life,” a possible truce with the Governor comes with strings attached for Rick and the group.

See all the drama tonight on AMC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Walking Dead @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Once Upon a Time, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Worst Cooks in America, Vikings, and Shameless.

revenge324smallI’ve caught up on a lot of Revenge over the last week. There was quite a backlog. The whole Initiative-thing doesn’t really work for me, but now it’s all getting a little bit more together and it feels like there is more of a purpose. Especially now that Nolan can go head to head with the falcon… That was a very interesting ending. And Emily now has to handle Jack and the newly turned-up Eli. It will be interesting to see how she handles everyone!

On tonight’s episode, “Victory,” with Victoria enlisting Eli in the newly formed charitable foundation, Emily seizes an opportunity to regain some of her missing past while settling the score with someone else who set her on this path.

Find out who and what on ABC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Revenge @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching The Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time.
