First, I want to say that we all need to take a moment out of our day and just think about the events twelve years ago, when so many people lost their lives in NY, Washington, & Pennsylvania. It’s been a long twelve years for the U.S. (and the world in general), so let’s be thankful for what we have and remember those that aren’t so fortunate.
Now, I’m SO excited about last night’s So You Think You Can Dance results. I would’ve been okay with any of the four winning, but the two I’d picked from almost the beginning pulled it out in the end and took home the crowns. Since I’m still riding that high, let’s check in to see what we recommend tonight!
I don’t enjoy Top Chef Masters as much as the original Top Chef (the egos are so much bigger on some of them, I swear!), but I’m also not enjoying this season as much as I did the previous one I watched. It feels almost disjointed because of the sous chef stuff. That being said, I still love watching it. I’m a cooking show junkie, what can I say? 😉 I think my favorite chef has to be Bryan Voltaggio. He’s adorable (reminding me a little bit of Jason Dohring (Logan on Veronica Mars) in looks. I did like Sang Yoon, but he’s become even more of a control freak and kind of a jerk than he was, and I find myself looking for the greatness that is supposed to be David Burke. I have no doubt that both are amazing chefs, but for some reason, I don’t think this show has brought out the best in either of them—and last week, I thought Sang should’ve gone home instead of Neal. I also like Douglas, although not as much as Bryan.
On tonight’s episode, “Lucha Vavoom,” the winner of this week’s Battle of the Sous Chefs challenge, along with their “Top Chef Master,” get to create today’s Quickfire. Then, the chefs face a culinary body slam, as they create dishes with a Mexican flair for the wrestlers of Lucha Vavoom. Que sabroso!
Find out which chefs come out on top and which one goes home tonight on Bravo at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Got Talent, MasterChef, Modern Dads, & Thieves, Inc..

The X Factor returns for season 3 tonight, with two new judges. Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) and Paulina Rubio (known for her Latin music) join Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato on the judging panel. I feel like there is going to be a cat fight on that panel—and not over Simon (as much as he’d enjoy that). One thing that I’m really happy about is that they aren’t bringing back Khloe Kardashian as a host, because that woman was so incredibly useless! Mario Lopez returns to dazzle our screens with his adorableness and actual ability to keep the show moving. Overall, I always enjoy this show and am always eager to see what talent the show has to bring each year.
On tonight’s season premiere, “Auditions #1,” solo artists and vocal groups audition for the judges.
To see how the new judges work out, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching MasterChef and Duck Dynasty.
Ahhh, all became right in the world when Krissi was FINALLY ejected from MasterChef last week. Her horrible attitude really brought down the show, and I was so happy to see her get eliminated. I almost didn’t even need to watch last week’s second episode, as whatever happened next didn’t really matter to me. However, I was thrilled to see Luca and Natasha make it to the final two, as they were the two contestants I was rooting for. While Natasha’s attitude wasn’t that great at the beginning, Krissi made her look like a saint. I really like Luca’s fun personality and his willingness to help others—perhaps to a fault—but I think Natasha really deserves to win MasterChef, as she is by far the best chef there. That said, I’m really looking forward to seeing what both finalists cook up tonight. Check out Megan’s chat with the two finalists here.
On tonight’s episode, “Winner Chosen,” the Top 2 finalists (Natasha Crnjac and Luca Manfe) prepare a high-stakes meal before the winner is named.
See who takes home the prize tonight on FOX at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, Camp, The X Factor, The League, Top Chef Masters, Thieves, Inc., Royal Pains, and Broadchurch.
The final episode of The Challenge is almost upon us, and we know which guys are in the final. With Wes & CT (yay for Wes in a final), Johnny & Frank (too arrogant, but good competitors), and Marlon & Jordan (way too annoying during the season), it will be very hard to decide who to root for. And tonight is a girl’s challenge, which will decide whether Cara Maria & Cooke, Aneesa & Diem, Camila & Jemmye, or Emily & Paula will fail before the final. I mostly hate the big mouth of Camila & Jemmye, and I really want Cara Maria to reach a final. But best would be to see a Jungle between Aneesa & Diem and Emily & Paula to shake them a little bit, because they have been coasting through the competition so far.
On tonight’s episode, “True Colors,” the losing female teams are desperate to secure their places in the final; Diem learns she has been manipulated.
See which girls are going home and which are going forward tonight on MTV at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching The X Factor (but high chance that won’t last throughout the season) and MasterChef.
