Jenny’s Choice

bones326smallIt’s been way too long—three and a half months!—since we last had a new episode of Bones, but thankfully, it’s back tonight with the first of a string of new episodes. If I’m not mistaken, we’ll get new episodes for the rest of the season… Yay! The last time we saw the gang, it was the 200th episode, so things were a bit different and didn’t follow along with any current story line. But here are the highlights for the season: Booth is out of prison, Sweets is dead and Daisy had his baby, James Aubrey is Booth’s new partner at the FBI, and Wendell beat his cancer. It’s been a busy season—both fun and exciting and very sad—but the rest of the episodes this year look to be even more exciting, so strap in! I’ve seen tonight’s episode plus the next two weeks, and I know just how good they are! 🙂

On tonight’s episode, “The Psychic in the Soup,” Angela’s psychic friend, Avalon Harmonia, aids the Jeffersonian team on a venture into the world of fortune tellers following the discovery of a local psychic’s decomposing body in a tree trunk, which leads to the victim’s friends becoming suspects. Cyndi Lauper guest stars.

Find out who killed the “psychic” tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Backstrom, Chopped Canada, & Beat Bobby Flay.

Megan’s Choice

greysanatomy326smallTruthfully, I had started to give up on Grey’s Anatomy in the last couple of seasons because I felt like the show had lost its usual quick-witted, superb writing I had grown to love. Thankfully this season has been a marked improvement. We’ve had a lot of emotional roller coasters to ride with the characters, and it has been a crazy yet perfect ride. Jackson and April losing their son was heartbreaking, but I hope that Jackson realizes that April just needs him to love her and hold her, not to be too overprotective. I’m glad he finally let go a bit and allowed them to have some tender moments. Meredith called Derek’s cell, and a mysterious woman answered. She panicked and tried to call back repeatedly, but there was no answer. She managed to push her worry aside long enough to save another patient and keep her streak alive. We ended the episode with Derek showing up at her door. Honestly, I don’t blame Meredith for being worried, because their relationship started off with her being the other woman, so this is something Derek has done before.

On tonight’s episode, “With or Without You,” Meredith, rattle by the latest events, tries to figure out what to do about Derek. Meanwhile, Owen is shocked when his mother is admitted to the hospital.

To see how Meredith and Derek work out their issues, tune in to ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Chopped Canada, Scandal, Bones, The Blacklist, Beat Bobby Flay, and Vikings.
