If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/2/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Kyle’s Choice

archer42smallTonight, the sixth season of the FX spy comedy Archer comes to a close. In last week’s episode, a top CIA scientist had a clot in his brain, and Archer and friends were chosen to be miniaturized and injected into the man’s body, where they would pilot a ship to his brain and blast away the clot. It was important that they be injected as close to the brain as possible, as they only have 60 minutes before the miniaturization wears off. However, during the injection process, an outraged Krieger smashed into the room, causing the microscopic Archer and his crew to be injected into the patient’s foot instead, leaving them with a much longer and more difficult journey!

While it’s sad to see another fun season of this show come to an end, I’m really looking forward to seeing how tonight’s second half of the finale plays out. Now that the gang is actually on their voyage, do any of them have any knowledge of human physiology or biology? How are they going to find their way to this man’s brain to save him? Will they save him, or will this end in one big creepy, comical, literal mess on the operating room table?

On tonight’s episode, “Drastic Voyage: Part II,” the conclusion of the Season 6 finale sees the end of the gang’s most incredible voyage.

Check out the season finale tonight on FX at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, The Odd Couple, Grey’s Anatomy, American Crime, The Blacklist, The Slap, Bones, Dig, and Olympus.

lipsyncbattlesmallSpike TV premieres their latest show tonight, Lip Sync Battle. It looks like it’ll be a lot of fun. Already a huge viral sensation, Spike is now taking it to the next level with its very own show, hosted by LL Cool J and with colorful commentary by social media maven and supermodel co-host, Chrissy Teigen (who is adorable). Each episode will feature two A-list celebrities like you’ve never seen them before: synching their hearts out in hysterically epic performances. Some of the celebrities include actors Anne Hathaway, Taraji P. Henson, Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Terry Crews, John Krasinksi, and singers Meghan Trainor, Jennifer Lopez, & John Legend.

On tonight’s first episode, “Jimmy Fallon vs. Dwayne Johnson,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gets groovy with the Bee Gee’s “Stayin’ Alive,” while Jimmy Fallon gets holy with Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.” Then on the second episode, “Common vs. John Legend,” Common breakdances to Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long,” and John Legend gets down with MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This.” (I read conflicting information about the songs they were performing, so your mileage may vary…)

See the hilarity tonight on Spike TV at 10/9c & 10:30/9:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Bones, The Odd Couple, Backstrom, Chopped Canada, & Beat Bobby Flay.

greysanatomy42smallGrey’s Anatomy has been having some very intense story lines lately, but the one that had me the most upset by far was the one with Derek suspected of cheating on Meredith. I was really glad that last week, we learned that Derek came home because he knew that their marriage was in trouble. He stated that he couldn’t live without her, while Meredith said she knew she could live without him but she didn’t want to. That was romantic. Hopefully they stay on the right track, along with April and Jackson, because those are my two favorite couples right now. Regardless of which couple you cheer for, you can’t deny that the cases have been getting more interesting, as well as the general writing of the show. I’m excited for more.

On tonight’s episode, “When I Grow Up,” a group of children visit the hospital on a field trip and observe two injured cops rushed into the emergency room. Meanwhile, Stephanie develops a crush on one of the chaperones; and Amelia’s forced to confront her feelings about Owen. Kevin Alejandro guest stars.

To see how the chaos unfolds, tune in to ABC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Chopped Canada, Vikings, Bones, Scandal, Mom, Beat Bobby Flay, Elementary, and American Crime.
