If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/10/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

grimm410smallGrimm has really sucked me in this season, although I’m not really pleased with the whole Juliette is a hexenbiest and Adalind is pregnant with Nick’s baby story lines — then again, neither of those two characters have been my favorite… I want Juliette and Nick to stay together because he’s happy with her, but I’m not sure that’s possible if she’s a hexenbiest, and I KNOW it isn’t possible when she’s being a raving crazy b…witch. I did love last week when the new Royal put Adalind in her place about the father of her baby by announcing that Viktor was sterile. *laugh* It’ll be interesting to see where both those stories go — the new Royal is a tough SOB, isn’t he?

On tonight’s episode, “Hibernaculum,” Nick and Hank are called to investigate a rare Wesen that leaves its victims frozen solid. Meanwhile, Juliette starts to feel that she is losing her humanity as she seeks to get revenge on Adalind. Elsewhere, Captain Renard continues to suffer from mysterious bleeding and visions, while Monroe works toward coming to grips with the Wesenrein incident.

See if Nick, Hank, and Wu can solve the case tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Amazing Race, Last Man Standing, Cristela, Hawaii Five-0, Bride By Design, & Blue Bloods.

12monkeys410smallTonight, the first season of Syfy’s mind-bending time-traveling drama 12 Monkeys comes to an end. Last week, Cole had arrived back in 2015, badly wounded from being stabbed in 1987, and all of his splinters had been used up. So Cassie tracked down the one woman who could help, a much younger Jones. Jones suggested that they could reset Cole’s molecular makeup (and his ability to splinter) if his blood came in contact with a pure, original version of his own blood — so they tracked down 6-year-old Cole. Meanwhile, Aaron — who believed he was protecting Cassie — told the Pallid Man and Olivia where Cole was hiding out. When the bad guys arrived, Cassie, Jones, and young Cole were able to escape, but Cole’s father was killed trying to protect both versions of his son. Cole injected himself with the blood, and there was a bright explosion of light that came out of him, knocking out the bad guys. Meanwhile, back in 2043, Jones and Dr. Adler were investigating some mysterious red plants that suddenly appeared in the lab, when Whitley came in holding a head saying, “They’re coming.”

Who are these strange ashen-looking people in dark hooded robes that Deacon is leading to infiltrate the base? What do these red plants mean? Will Jones find a way to track Cole and bring him back to 2043, and with his blood reset, how will he get the serum he needs that would allow him to splinter? What is the next move for the Army of the 12 Monkeys, and what kind of cliffhanger are we going to be left with for next season?!

See how the season ends tonight on Syfy at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, Cristela, Grimm, Helix, and Childrens Hospital.

hawaiifiveo410smallI haven’t been submitting my parts as regularly as usual due to my being sick and dealing with treatment. It’s been a long road, and while I’m slowly getting better, I still have a little ways to go yet. I’m leaving on Friday for a trip to Victoria to visit my parents and rejuvenate myself by the ocean. When I get back, I hope to be more present for the posts as my treatment gets lighter. Thanks to everyone for all their love and support — especially to Jenny, who has been such an amazing friend to me for years and especially during all the hard times. Now, let’s talk TV…

Hawaii Five-0 has always been one of my favorite shows, and it’s not just because I love Alex O’Loughlin but also because the stories just keep getting better. Each episode lately has really been building up parts of each character’s life, so it makes for a very interesting and strong overall show. Danny has been through the ringer this season, between his brother’s death, being arrested for murder, and let’s not forget being stabbed by his girlfriend’s ex-husband. On the last episode, Danny got stuck in the elevator with Shaw and a dead body — not a great combination for someone who is claustrophobic, but Shaw really helped him through, and in the end they got out when the cop who used to have a crush on Kono realized they were still there. Meanwhile, Lou was investigating one of his best friends for murdering his wife, even though it looked like Diane had just fallen off the ledge. Truth is, Lou knew that Clay was lying from the start, and it turned out he killed his wife to be with his girlfriend but didn’t want people to think badly of him for divorce. Lou had an emotional episode, and I was very impressed by the way it was acted. Great episode, and I can’t wait for more.

On tonight’s episode, “Ua Helele’i Ka Hoku (Fallen Star),” when a performer is killed at a convention of Elvis impersonators and his body is stolen, Five-0 must track down the culprits who are after the hidden diamonds sewn into the victim’s costume. Also, Gabriel Waincroft returns to ask for Chin’s help getting off the island.

To see how Chin handles this reunion, tune in to CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Grimm, and 12 Monkeys.
