theflash121smallTonight, The CW kicks off what is promised to be an epic 2-part crossover between The Flash and Arrow – as well as a launch point for the upcoming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow spin-off series. In last week’s episode of The Flash, Barry found himself wounded both physically and mentally after his battle with Zoom. It was bad timing because super-intelligent gorilla Grodd had returned to Central City and was causing a ruckus once again. Grodd kidnapped Caitlin and put her to work on creating more apes like him. Wells came up with a plan to disguise himself as the Reverse Flash and pretend to be the Earth-1 Wells in order to distract Grodd, and it was up to Cisco to teach him how to act like his evil counterpart.

Things didn’t go quite exactly as planned – they did manage to rescue Caitlin, but Grodd was still on the loose in the city. However, a visit from father Henry is just what Barry needed to regain his confidence. He sped after Grodd, tricking him into getting sucked into one of the breaches between the worlds, sending him to Earth-2. Meanwhile, Cisco and Kendra finally went on their date, but a kiss at the end caused Cisco to vibe, and this time he realized the birdman he’d been having visions of was actually Kendra.

Will Cisco tell Kendra he knows her secret? And if so, how would that affect their relationship? And what about Barry and Patty – she knows he’s been lying to her. Will she figure out his secret identity on her own, or will he reveal it to her? It seems like everyone knows these days, so why not?!

I’m excited for tonight’s crossover because not only is it the sole reason that I’m still watching Arrow but also because I’m really looking forward to the Legends of Tomorrow spin-off, and it will be great to get a glimpse at some of the characters that will be a part of that series.

On tonight’s episode, “Legends of Today,” a crossover episode with Arrow begins with Vandal Savage attacking Kendra and Cisco. Barry then takes Kendra to Star City and asks Oliver to hide her until he can stop Vandal. But Hawkman, a man with wings, shows up and flies off with Kendra. Meanwhile, Harrison develops a serum to make Barry run faster and asks Jay to test it.

Check out The Flash half of the crossover event tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Muppets, Fresh Off the Boat, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Grandfathered, The Grinder, Scream Queens, iZombie, and Chrisley Knows Best.

chicagomed121smallI’m totally digging Chicago Med. It’s been a great addition to the Chicago “family” of shows, and it’s filled my ER void perfectly so far. Last week was pretty gut-wrenching. First with the 14yo girl having a baby and then leaving it in her backpack. She was seriously in denial. And while she had drug/alcohol problems and arrests for solicitation, she was only 14. I know at 14, I may have THOUGHT I knew everything, but I truly had no idea. So I can’t imagine locking her up would help the situation. We saw another side of Dr. Choi, and while I can’t say I agreed with him (or Dr. Manning) completely, it was interesting to see both sides of the thing. Another sad part was the guy with the overbearing wife – no idea how that story ended, but I’d LIKE to believe he recovered. Dr. Halstead did everything he could to save the man’s life, but in the end, that may have hurt more than helped. On a good note, I adore Dr. Charles, and the story line with him and med student Sarah Reese and the older woman who turned out not to have dementia was really very sweet.

On tonight’s episode, “Fallback,” when Dr. Connor Rhodes takes the case of a close family friend who’s been impaled by glass shards, he’s reunited with his sister, Claire Rhodes (guest start Christina Brucato), and forced to confront his past. Meanwhile, Dr. Natalie Manning convinces a young musician to undergo a surgery that will save her life but could destroy her hearing. David Eigenberg, James McCaffrey, and Julie Berman guest star.

Learn more about Dr. Rhodes’s past tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped, Grandfathered, & MasterChef Canada.

screamqueens121smallScream Queens is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s a little off center in many ways, including tons of sexual discussions – some which are more than a little freaky. That fact aside, truth is I have been loving it. Lea Michelle has been killing it as Hester, the neck brace wearing psycho who was out to steal Chanel’s life (literally). Last episode, they reached a truce of sorts.

We also watched last week as Chanel went to Thanksgiving dinner at Chad’s parents’ house, where we learned exactly why Chad is so messed up – his family are complete ignorant, rich nutbars. The dinner was crashed by Hester, who wasn’t as dead as Chanel thought she was after she fell down stairs (well, actually pushed by Chanel, but who’s counting), and Chad’s family wasn’t any more accepting of Hester than they were Chanel. This ended with those two banding together and running back to the sorority house, where they joined the Thanksgiving dinner of misfits already in progress.

At that dinner, everyone was talking about who they thought the other Red Devil killer was now that Boone is dead for real this time. Everyone had a turn being accused, making some valid points for each person, but then they wondered where Gigi had gotten to after she stood Wes up. They didn’t have to wonder long, because when the lid came off the platter that was supposed to have the turkey on it, Gigi’s head was there instead. So now there is just one person left behind the murders. Who do you think it is?

On tonight’s episode, “Black Friday,” the Red Devil has plans to disrupt the holiday the Chanels like the most: Black Friday; Denise gets another job; Pete receives an offer from Chad and a confession is made.

To see just what the Devil has planned, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Voice.
