If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/27/16

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Kyle’s Choice

suits127smallTonight, Suits returns for its fifth season winter premiere on USA Network. Last summer, things came to a head as there was a big power struggle at the firm. Jack had called for the partners to make a vote of no confidence to remove Jessica. Louis tried to figure out what Daniel was holding over Jack in order to coerce this move, but when Daniel got wind of this, he threatened that if Louis didn’t also vote along with Jack, he would have a client make a hostile takeover of Louis’s sister’s business and dismantle it. At the vote, Harvey showed that he had also been busy trying to find a solution, announcing that one of Daniel’s biggest clients had just dropped him. He then pleaded Jessica’s case, and she won by unanimous vote. Afterwards, Jessica tried to talk Harvey out of leaving the firm, but he insisted on sacrificing himself for everything that had happened. Meanwhile, Mike handed in his own resignation to Harvey. But as the two hugged it out, the police showed up at the office to arrest Mike for conspiracy to commit fraud.

Who turned Mike in? Will he somehow be able to get out of this? Will any of the others be indicted as well for their part in covering up Mike’s actions? And what will this mean for Pearson Specter Litt?

On tonight’s episode, “Blowback,” Jessica and Harvey must figure out how to defend Mike, despite knowing that he’s guilty of the crime he’s accused of committing. Leslie Hope guest stars.

See if Jessica and Harvey can get Mike off the hook tonight on USA Network at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Criminal Minds, Arrow, Supernatural, Man Seeking Woman, Face Off, Younger, and Teachers.

criminalminds127smallIt never ceases to amaze me at all the creepy ways Criminal Minds comes up with to have UnSubs kill people on the show, and I still, after all this time, need to watch with the lights on. Last week we watched as the UnSub murdered people with a guillotine because in his eyes, they had done things that were sinful and needed punishing. His archaic look on life and sins came from years in a school under a principal who hit his hand with a ruler when he was bad; however, years later the principal was charged with molesting young girls. The UnSub was triggered because instead of having to face his punishment for doing the things he did, the principal committed suicide and the UnSub felt this was unjust. Eventually the team figured it out and saved the day just before a man was about to lose his head – quite disturbing thought, actually.

Another thing I noticed last episode was how Rossi and Dr. Lewis were growing closer last episode and bonding over old cars. A new love match, perhaps? I’d be all for it, seeing as it’s been a bit since Rossi had a meaningful story arc of his own.

On tonight’s episode, “The Bond,” the BAU searches for a motive and an UnSub when victims are found in truck stop restrooms along highways throughout the South. Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) & Veronica Cartwright guest star.

To see how the team tackles this traveling UnSub, tune in to CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching 2 Broke Girls, Arrow, Mike & Molly, Hell’s Kitchen, and Code Black.
