legendsoftomorrow1013smallTonight, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns for its second season on The CW. As the first season came to a close, the group finally managed to put an end to Vandal Savage’s evil plan to conquer the world by killing him simultaneously in three different time periods – Mick and Ray took him out in 1958; Sara, Jax, and Professor Stein in 1975; and Carter, Hunter, and Kendra in 2021. However, even with Savage gone, there was still an explosive meteor to contend with, and so Hunter used the Waverider to fly the meteor into the sun but miraculously managed to survive himself. As the team reconvened in 2016, Kendra and Carter decided to head off on their own to give their relationship a go. But soon after they left, a second Waverider crashed down in front of the team, and out stepped Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams), who warned the group that they will die if they get back on board.

Who is this mystery man, how did he get a Waverider, and how does he know the future? Will the group heed his warning or just head off again on another mission? I’m looking forward to seeing what time-traveling adventures await the group this season, though I hope the writers don’t try to stretch out a single story over the entire season like last year. I would love to see several different arcs and villains over the course of this second season.

On tonight’s premiere, “Out of Time,” Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional historian, makes a shocking discovery. Nate then seeks out Oliver Queen for help to find the scattered Legends. Once reunited, they try to protect Albert Einstein from being kidnapped before the Nazis destroy New York City with a nuclear bomb. Meanwhile, Ray notices that Sara has a mission of her own, which leads them both to face her nemesis, Damien Darhk.

Check out the season premiere tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Grey’s Anatomy, Superstore, The Good Place, The Blacklist, Pitch, 60 Days In, and Falling Water.

rosewood1013smallThis season of Rosewood has had two main points of focus: Villa’s husband’s death and Hornstock’s new role as detective and the new captain at the station. Last week, Rosie and Villa indeed determined that Eddie’s death was murder and why – and it wasn’t because he was a bad guy, like Villa had thought she’d learned. He was actually supplying the DEA with evidence against some bad guys, and that’s what got him killed. Maybe now Villa can truly begin to heal and move on…with Rosie, perhaps? As for Hornstock, I hate not seeing him as captain, but I’m glad we’re getting so much of him in the episodes. And while I love Eddie Cibrian (for so many reasons… *hot*), I’m kinda hating the new captain. I can’t tell if he’s really not a bad guy and just has a certain way of behaving or handling things that make him seem like a jackass or if he’s really a jackass and treating Hornstock like crap on purpose. I guess I just need to keep watching… Of course, then there’s TMI and Pippy… I’m not digging Pippy’s attitude, but I do like that she’s coming back to help when TMI needs her.

On tonight’s episode, “Boatopsy & Booty,” when a boatload of Miami’s hottest young partygoers discover a body during a booze cruise, Rosie and Villa must dive into the world of deep sea treasure hunting in order to solve the case. Letoya Luckett (Single Ladies) guest stars.

See if Rosie & Villa can find the killer tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Good Place, Chicago Med, Chopped, The Almost Impossible Game Show, Beat Bobby Flay, Impractical Jokers, & Acting Out.

greysanatomy1013smallSo far this season of Grey’s Anatomy has been thoroughly entertaining as well as an emotional ride, but I am loving every single moment of it. Last week we watched as family drama unfolded in the ER when a funeral procession ended up in a car pileup, which led to all the family members in the ER. This particular family had a lot of personal issues that started to boil over when they found out that their long-lost sister was the one who caused the accident. Arguments broke out, but in the end they all bonded over their sister and her new baby.

Elsewhere, Arizona returned and was not happy with Alex about the big fight and the assault charges. She was so disappointed in his choices after how far he’d come from the young guy he was years ago. She basically represented how all of us watching are feeling about this situation. Let’s hope it all ends well.

On tonight’s episode, “Falling Slowly,” Alex tries to do the right thing but still can’t catch a break. Jackson and April adjust to their “new normal” with the baby. While Meredith and Nathan establish what’s going on between them, Amelia questions the state of her relationship with Owen.

To find out if Jackson and April can find their way through this new phase, tune in to ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Rosewood, Chicago Med, and Notorious.
