brooklyn991018smallEvery season on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, we get a new Halloween episode. They’re a lot of fun because it’s always some sort of competition. In season one, Jake bet Holt he could “steal” his Medal of Valor. In season two, it was Captain Holt’s watch. Last year, it was team vs team, as they competed to see who could first get to a crown held under lock and key in an interrogation room. So what will they come up with this season? I have no idea, but I do know it’s going to be funny!

On tonight’s episode, “Halloween IV,” it’s Halloween in the Nine-Nine, which can only mean one thing: heist time. This year, the squad members pull out all the stops in their quest to win the new defending title of “Ultimate Detective Slash Genius.” Lines are drawn and plans are made, but there can only be one reigning champion.

See who wins bragging rights tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

"The Group" - Pilot 25723_001Tonight, TBS is airing a sneak preview of its new comedy, People of Earth. The series centers around the small town of Beacon and a support group for alien abductees. Leading the group is part-time therapist Gina Morrison (Ana Gasteyer, Saturday Night Live), who rents the space in Our Lady of Sorrows from Father Doug (Oscar Nuñez, The Office). As skeptical journalist Ozzie Graham (Wyatt Cenac, The Daily Show) investigates the participants’ seemingly-ludicrous accounts, he realizes he may actually be an abductee himself, and so he decides to join the group as well. The series comes from David Jenkins, Greg Daniels (The Office), and Conan O’Brien. The talented ensemble cast also includes Michael Cassidy (Men at Work), Alice Wetterlund (Silicon Valley), Luka Jones (Up All Night), Brian Huskey (Another Period), Nancy Lenehan (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Tracee Chimo (Orange is the New Black), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Selfie), Björn Gustafsson (Spy), and Ken Hall (Straight Man).

While the series doesn’t officially premiere until Halloween, tonight TBS is giving viewers an early look at the first episode. The premise sounds great, and the show looks really fun based on the promos. I can’t wait to see how the aliens in the ads work into the show! I’m looking forward to checking out tonight’s sneak peek!

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, I got a chance to speak with the creators/stars of the series. Check out these video interviews at NoReruns.net.

On tonight’s episode, “Pilot,” things get weird for New York journalist Ozzie Graham after a suspicious car accident sends him searching for answers at “StarCrossed” – a support group for alien “experiencers.”

Get a sneak peek tonight on TBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, The Real O’Neals, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., This Is Us, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, Scream Queens, The Flash, No Tomorrow, Scream, Aftermath, and Chrisley Knows Best.

ncisnola1018smallI’m not much of a fan of Vanessa Ferlito’s FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio on NCIS: New Orleans. I like the actress just fine, and I don’t even really hate the character so much as I dislike her as part of this show. She doesn’t really fit with the rest of the team – much more by-the-book, straightlaced, whatever, although last week, it was nice to see her relax a little bit when she helped cover for Pride and Percy after they disobeyed orders to rescue the petty officer who was being held hostage by the cartel down in Mexico. And I loved how Pride took Gregorio to see the family once they were reunited, to show her why they do the things they do, to show that sometimes, the end does justify the means.

Tonight’s ep looks like it’s going to be scary and exciting. I love Sebastian. He’s a fun, awkward character, and I hope he’s not damaged too badly tonight!

On tonight’s episode, “Escape Plan,” the NCIS team must rescue one of their own after Sebastian is kidnapped while at a restaurant with his mother, Sylvia Lund (guest star Wendie Malick, Hot in Cleveland), and forced to use his gaming skills in a prison break.

To see how the team rescues Sebastian, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped Junior, NCIS, American Housewife, Bull, MasterChef Canada, No Tomorrow, Aftermath, Chicago Fire, Chopped, & Star Plates.
