Tonight is the series premiere of First Family of Hip Hop on Bravo at 9/8c. The Robinsons rose to fame in the 1970’s when they first put rap on the map with the famed Sugarhill Records, becoming a cultural phenomenon and changing the face of music forever. Now with a new generation rising up, brothers, sisters and cousins are all jostling for position to gain control of the famed label and to breathe new life into the Sugarhill legacy.

Tonight is also the 2-hour series premiere of Victoria on PBS at 9/8c. This drama follows Victoria (Jenna Coleman, Doctor Who) from the time she becomes Queen in 1837 at age 18 through her relationship with her first prime minister and intimate friend, Lord Melbourne (Rufus Sewell), and her courtship with and marriage to Prince Albert (Tom Hughes). Famous for her candor and spirit, she was the first woman who seemed to have it all: a passionate marriage and the job ruling the world’s most important nation.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Young Pope on HBO at 9/8c. Young and charming, Lenny Belardo, aka Pius XIII, is the first American Pope in history. His election seems to be the result of a simple yet effective media strategy on the part of the College of Cardinals. But appearances can be deceiving — above all, in the Vatican, where the leaders of the Church have chosen the great mystery of God as the compass guiding their existence. And Pius XIII proves to be the most mysterious and contradictory of them all. The show stars Jude Law in the title role and Diane Keaton as Sister Mary, a nun from the U.S. now living in Vatican City.

Tonight is the series premiere of Six on History Channel at 10/9c. The show follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six, modern American warriors, whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists. Inspired by real missions, the series authentically captures the inside world of America’s elite Special Operations unit — what these SEALs do, their personal lives, combat and the life-and-death decisions they make to protect and serve their country. This is an authentic portrayal of what it means to be a member of SEAL Team Six, a true brotherhood, the best at what they do. The series begins with SEAL Team Six troop leader Richard ‘Rip’ Taggart (Walton Goggins, Vice Principals, Justified) making a questionable decision while on a mission in Afghanistan. Two years later, Rip is captured by Boko Haram and it’s up to his former SEAL Team Six brothers — led by Joe Graves (Barry Sloane, Revenge), Alex Caulder (Kyle Schmid, Copper), and Ricky “Buddha” Ortiz (Juan Pablo Raba, Narcos) — to put their differences aside to locate and rescue their former troop leader. It also stars Edwin Hodge (Chicago Fire), Dominic Adams (Devious Maids), Brianne Davis (Jarhead), Nadine Velazquez (Flight), Jaylen Moore (Homeland), Donny Boaz (The Great Debaters), and Nondumiso Tembe (True Blood).
