Kyle’s Choice
After a 15-month hiatus, Switched at Birth finally returns tonight to kick of the show’s fifth and final season on Freeform. When we last left off, Regina’s love Eric was wanted for a felony, so he fled with his son, leaving Regina once again lonely and alone. Bay was upset to learn that Travis secretly paid an art gallery to give her an art show but was left speechless when Travis kissed her and declared his feelings for her. Daphne and Mingo decided to take a break from one another for the summer as Daphne contemplated a summer internship assisting deaf children in China. John and Kathryn found a buyer for the car wash, but John was upset to learn that Kathryn had resorted to flirtation in order to knock down the price. And Lily went into labor, giving birth to Carlton Summers Kennish. The season finale then jumped ahead ten months to find Bay working as a tattoo artist in China when she receives an urgent call from Daphne, who is working in a nearby clinic, and Bay exclaims that they have to go home.
I’m looking forward to seeing how this final chapter plays out. What were Bay and Daphne doing in China, and what was said on that phone call that has them rushing back home? What is the status of John and Kathryn’s rocky marriage? Will Regina ever find love again? And what about Travis and Mingo? Have they moved on, or are they awaiting the girls’ return?
On tonight’s premiere, “The Call,” Daphne and Bay receive an emergency phone call while in China and return home, where Daphne readjusts to campus life and Bay feels conflicted about her feelings for Emmett. Meanwhile, Kathryn and John argue about her job; and Regina feels guilty about a secret romance.

Jenny’s Choice
During the final season of Bones, it’s great to see them referencing things from the previous 11 seasons, and last week was a big one. When a body was found after being eaten by rats, Brennan quickly figured out the victim was Aldo Clemens, an old Army buddy of Booth’s (was the chaplain in the Army and then Booth’s confidant early on in the series). He was even the man who married Booth and Brennan. So it was with a heavy heart and fire in their souls that Booth and Brennan worked to solve the case. They figured out he’d been tortured and he’d broken his own neck to end it and so he couldn’t give up the information the bad guy wanted…
Based on an x-ray they found in the warehouse where he’d been tortured (just before the place blew to smithereens, nearly taking Booth and Brennan with it!), Booth knew who the killer was. When Booth was a sniper in the military, he had to kill a man whose son was beside him. It seems that little boy grew up and is now out for revenge. So Booth not only blames himself for Aldo’s death but also because Aldo had fallen on hard times (turned to drugs and lost his job because of it) and he hadn’t kept in contact with him over the past year. I don’t know how long this story line will go on, but I have a feeling it’ll take up most of the rest of the series as the new big bad. It kind of comes out of left field, but I also like how it’s going to bring a few things full circle in the series.
On tonight’s episode, “The Tutor in the Tussle,†when a tutor of privileged students turns up dead, the team sorts through all the possible perpetrators, from disgruntled parents to the tutor’s roommate with a criminal record. Meanwhile, Bones is frustrated with the voice of her audio book and tries to prove that she can record it herself. Guy Boyd guest stars as Philip Aubrey, father of James Aubrey (who is played by…John Boyd. Yes, real-life father and son playing fictional father and son. Love it!).

Megan’s Choice
Game shows are always a nice distraction from everyday life, but The Wall is also very entertaining while keeping me on the edge of my seat. I love the way the contestants are genuinely good people and make you want to see them win. My heart is usually racing while watching the red balls fall and I’m willing them to go into the smallest amounts. The hardest part for me would definitely be having to decide whether or not to sign the contract, because I’d feel terrible if I signed for a small amount but we had actually won millions.
On tonight’s episode, “Nathan and Erica,” this husband and wife take on the wall in order to win massive amounts of money.
