TV News – 3/10/10
Written by Megan on March 10, 2010 – 10:13 pm -Sorry the news is behind tonight, it’s been a busy day. First let me say I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Corey Haim (The Lost Boys, The Edison Twins, License To Drive), my thoughts are with the family at this time. Now let’s get to some news!
I was so excited when I found out that Keri Russell (Felicity) was coming back to TV, and yes I’m serious! Russell is said to be in talks to join a new FOX sitcom, called Wilde Kingdom, with Will Arnett and from the producer of Arrested Development. It sounds like it’s going to be a great show and a great script. Are you as happy as I am about this news? Source
More after the jump.
A few other bits of interesting pilot casting news for you:
First, Jason Biggs (American Pie) has joined the CBS comedy pilot, True Love about a guy who falls in love with a different girl than he’s already dating. I really enjoy Biggs, and he has excellent comedic timing so I think this will be a hit, don’t you?
Hopefully, Jerry O’Connell (Do Not Disturb, Crossing Jordan), doesn’t bring his luck to the new CBS pilot Defenders which also stars Jim Belushi. The pilot is about a couple quirky defense lawyers working in Las Vegas. O’Connell hasn’t had the best luck or success, since Crossing Jordan ended, with duds such as Do Not Disturb, he just can’t seem to find his niche again. Maybe another legal show will be the lucky one? I’m sure Belushi is hoping the same thing
Finally, Melinda Clarke (The O.C., CSI) has joined the cast of the Nikita over at The CW. The new pilot is a remake of La Femme Nikita, and Clarke will be “an operative and Stanford tech specialist.” In my opinion, Clarke is very sexy, lady with just the hint of naughtiness so I think she’ll be superb in this role.
