This Week on TV – 3/21/10-3/27/10
Written by Jenny on March 20, 2010 – 11:44 pm -Welcome to a new week of TV! The week starts off with a bang, with 4 series premieres and 3 season premieres on Sunday, and dwindles down to a fairly slow, boring end. But check it out and see what’s on for you!

Sunday features 4 series premieres. First up is the premiere of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution on ABC at 10:01/9:01c. Jamie Oliver, the impassioned chef, TV personality and best-selling author, is starting a revolution in America, taking on the high statistics of obesity, heart disease and diabetes in this country, where our nation’s children are the first generation not expected to live as long as their parents. Oliver invites viewers to take a stand and change the way America eats, in our home and schools, with the thought-provoking new series.
The next premiere is Jerseylicious on the Style Network at 10/9c. Welcome to the Gatsby Salon, where big hair meets even bigger personalities.
The third premiere tonight is Kirstie Alley’s Big Life on A&E at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. Kirstie Alley has emerged as one of the great actresses of her generation, proving time and again that she is capable of great depth and range, with a comedic timing second to none. The new show chronicles the many aspects of her extraordinary life, from her battle with weight loss to her role as a single mother trying to raise two normal teenagers.
Finally, the last premiere is Life on the Discovery Channel at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9/8c. The earth is home to more than 30 million different animals and plants – every single one in its own fight for survival. From the makers of Planet Earth and narrated by global media leader and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey, the epic television series Life is the definitive exploration of our planet’s living things and their spectacular, bizarre and fascinating behaviors. The show is epic in scope, yet intimate in its storytelling. More than four years in the making, with over 3,000 days of filming in the field, Life spans every continent and every habitat. Each episode focuses on a different animal or plant group, engrossing viewers with never-before-seen behaviors using the latest in state-of-the-art high-definition filming techniques. From strange creatures, such as the star-nosed mole that hunts underwater using bubbles to smell its prey, to grand spectacles, like millions of fruit bats darkening the Zambian sky, each episode tells mind-blowing stories of survival with drama, humor and suspense.
Aside from the series premieres, there are also 3 season premieres and a special. The first season premiere if Breaking Bad on AMC at 10/9c.
Next up is the premiere of Gene Simmons Family Jewels on A&E at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c.
