TV News – 10/4/10

What a crazy, busy day it’s been for me! How was your day? The TV season is well under way and so is the TV news, so let’s take a look.

A few posts ago I discussed the sad news that Andy Whitfield from Spartacus, would be stepping down from his role due to needing treatment for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma again. The executive producer had been deciding whether they “close up shop or recast”, they chosen to recast. While I understand that ‘the show must go on’, can it really go on with someone else in Whitfield’s role? I’m not sure, what’s your thoughts? Source

More news after the jump.

In some great news via Eddie McClintock’s Twitter , Warehouse 13 has been renewed for season 3. We here at TV Is My Pacifier love WH13 and are so happy with this news. Let’s hear your input, are you as excited?

ABC Family has cancelled, Huge. The show starred the adorable Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray), and focused on teens at weight loss camp. I actually found the show endearing and amusing. Unfortunately, the other viewers did not. The other summer shows Pretty Little Liars, and Melissa & Joey are both considered done deals for renewals, with PLL already having a back order. I’m sorry to see Huge go, but look forward to seeing what ABC Family brings out next. Source

This story isn’t really about TV per say, but about one of my fellow TV journalists and a big move. Michael Ausiello who currently writes for Entertainment Weekly, is leaving the nest and opening his own site. Ouch for EW. Best of luck Ausiello hopefully your site is only ‘mildy’ successful. ;) Source

Peter MacNicol (Numb3rs, Grey’s Anatomy), will be checking into Seattle Grace with a multi-episode arc on Grey’s Anatomy. MacNicol will play a paediatrics attending who will spend some time with Alex, expect to see him for at least two episodes.Source

That’s all for tonight folks, enjoy your family and your TV. :) Night!
