After almost a year (!!!), we’re FINALLY getting the final season premiere of Blindspot tonight. In case you don’t remember, on the 2-part season finale, the team was racing against the clock to stop Madeline Burke’s Helios attack. When they finally got a lead into two of her associates and tracked one down, they found him with Keaton. Turned out the guy was former CIA. Nash, Keaton’s boss, showed up. They argued and agreed to go to a neutral location and question him together, but on the drive there, rockets blew up the SUV and killed him. In order to figure out who the mole inside the CIA or FBI was, the FBI brought in Madeline from prison, but she fed them nothing but whining about being innocent and this being an attack on her from the FBI, just like they had a problem with her father.

They captured Dominic on security cams at the Belmore science lab, getting handed a package. That’s when we found out Nash was the mole in the CIA and he warned Dominic to get away from Belmore before the team could get there. They did find the woman who gave Dominic the package. They were shocked when they found out it was a computer virus, not a biological agent. Not long after that, they figured out his target: NYIOC, which controls the power grid to the entire East Coast. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get to Dominic in time to stop him from uploading the virus. Patterson and Zapata stayed in the lab to try to stop the virus, while Jane & Weller went after Dominic. During his escape, Jane and Weller cornered him in the hallway, and he basically sacrificed himself for the cause. And unfortunately, Kathy was still working with him (remember, she thought they were in love…), so she was able to stop Patterson from halting the virus…and the entire power grid went down.

I’m excited because Blindspot is back tonight (after the last one over a month ago!), with just three episodes left to go this season. Last time, a huge corporate party was invaded by security and everyone was required to relinquish all their electronics. Turned out there was a data breach, and what had been stolen were the files that contained launch codes to a satellite the company, alongside the DOD, had developed that was armed with missiles, currently in space, and fully operational. Eek! The team (minus Jane & Weller) investigates and figures out that one of the senior VPs had a kid with an insulin pump, and when the files couldn’t be found anywhere else, they knew they had to be on the pump. They assumed it was the kid’s father, but it actually turned out to be his mother…who was a Russian sleeper agent or something. They (including Weller & Jane now) cornered her where she was hiding out with her son and about to give the files over to the Russians, but Weller convinced her to do the right thing by her son.

Meanwhile, we met Weller’s mother, who got addicted to Oxy and now owes a bad guy a lot of money. She’s didn’t abandon her kids to their abusive father. She was going to take them with her but couldn’t because he would have killed them all. Weller eventually forgave her, paid off her debts, and said he’d get her into rehab.

And finally, Rich and Patterson met with crazy Kathy, the third of the trio of Three Blind Mice. She had been released from prison on good behavior, Unfortunately, Rich and Patterson realized she’d already done a bank hack, and it led them to her apartment. She was all happy happy joy joy, even saying she was going to get married and she wanted them to be in the wedding party. She dressed Patterson up in a HORRIBLE gown, but Rich was pretty happy with his tux. LOL Surprise, surprise. In the end, they bribed her with $$ to stop hacking, but that’ll never work…especially since her new partner-in-crime to take Rich and Patterson down is none other than…Dominic! Dun dun dun!

On tonight’s episode, “Coder to Killer,” a horrifying and vengeful villain threatens the FBI. Weller considers his priorities. Zapata and Reade try to navigate their living situation. Patterson explores a budding interest.

Find out Patterson’s new interest and what priorities Weller needs to consider tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

From 2002-2007, the Disney Channel animated action comedy-adventure series Kim Possible followed the adventures of teenage crime fighter Kim Possible, who balanced saving the world with dealing with the normal problems of a high school student. Helping her on her missions was clumsy best friend Ron Stoppable and his pet naked mole rat Rufus. Providing them with remote technical assistance was 10-year old computer genius Wade. While Team Possible came up against many different criminals, their biggest foe was super-villain Dr. Drakken and his sidekick Shego (who was often the more grounded and sensible of the pair).

Tonight, these characters return in a brand new live-action Disney Channel Original Movie, Kim Possible. In the film, Kim (Sadie Stanley) and Ron (Sean Giambrone, The Goldbergs) enter high school and become friends with Athena (Ciara Riley Wilson, OMG!). With Kim’s guidance, Athena transforms into the newest member of Team Possible and soon starts to eclipse Kim. When Drakken (Todd Stashwick, 12 Monkeys) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) resurface in Middleton, the team must stop them. The movie also stars Issac Ryan Brown (Raven’s Home) as Wade, Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother) as Kim’s mother Dr. Ann Possible, Patton Oswalt (A.P. Bio) as Professor Dementor, and Christy Carlson Romano (the original voice of Kim) as Poppy Blu.

I was a huge fan of the original animated series and can’t wait to check out tonight’s film to see how these characters translate into the real world.

Go back to your childhood (or in Jenny’s case, her son’s childhood…she sighed sadly…) tonight on Disney Channel at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Doom Patrol, The Umbrella Academy, Fresh Off the Boat, Proven Innocent, and Strike Back.

Last week’s Blindspot set up not only this week’s season finale but also some potentially huge changes for certain members of the team. We got to see a flashback to Jane and Roman as kids, when Shepherd pitted them against each other playing a game in order to determine who would do the chores (each loss meant another chore added to their list). Jane beat Roman every time until the last game, where she threw the game so he’d win. Shepherd knew what she’d done and punished Jane for it, making her do all the chores, telling her that Roman would never learn if she did that. Given what wonderful parenting Shepherd did when they were kids, it’s no wonder both Jane & Roman were effed up as adults!

The team worked together (using intel they gathered from Shepherd, who the CIA brought back for interrogation, and Lynette) to stop a bomb in the United Nations…only to figure out that the real targets were the leaders of two African countries who were coming together in a peace treaty of sorts against Crawford, who’d been trying to buy a pipeline from their countries. He wanted the pipeline rerouted to get to the land he’d purchased. So the team figured out the UN bombing was only a setup to get the African leaders out in the open so Roman could assassinate them. Jane & Weller got them out safely with only a few minor wounds, and they now have enough to arrest Crawford! Unfortunately, Zapata was caught on camera going back in and taking the phone one of the African leaders left in the building, and when she was confronted about it, she said Keaton (ie: the CIA) had told her to. Keaton once again showed his true colors and denied knowledge, and Zapata was then fired. That led to a close encounter with Reade in the locker room…including a kiss that sent Zapata scurrying away when it became too much for her…but then it turned into sexy timez at Reade’s apartment when Zapata showed up and said she just wanted to do what felt right.

The end was all about Roman and Jane: the tattoo database was suddenly working right again, meaning no more interference from Roman, and all that was left was a video Roman left Jane, saying he wanted to play One. More. Game. And that leads us into tonight’s season finale, where Jane (& the team, I’m assuming?) and Roman head home for the big showdown. Eek! (Oh, and the mysterious illness or whatever that Roman is suffering from is getting worse and worse, and Blake confronted Roman about his involvement with the bomb threat at the UN. Fun stuff!)

On tonight’s episode, “In Memory,” Jane and Weller hunt Roman back to where it all started…Can they stop him at last?

Catch the (final?) showdown between Jane and Roman tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing MasterChef: Junior & Hawaii Five-0.

Last week’s Blindspot seemed to be a turning point in the new “relationship” Roman had with Jane and the FBI to take down Crawford. Jane, Weller, & Zapata were attending a gala hosted by Crawford and Blake. Avery left the van and sneaked in to confront Crawford. They were able to get her out of there without alerting Crawford as to who they really were, and Roman explained how he would turn off the security that would then allow their cameras to record the meeting Crawford was going to have with a big bad guy, which should allow them to get him. Unfortunately, after Blake gave him a heartfelt speech about love and family, Roman changed his mind and raced into the meeting to turn back on the security and tell Crawford the FBI was on its way. In the jet after Crawford, Blake, Roman, and Crawford’s attorney escaped the gala ahead of the FBI raid, Crawford gave his own heartfelt speech about family, etc. The attorney then brought up the question of how Roman knew. He sidestepped the issue, but Crawford seemed suspicious. He mentioned the task he’d set “Tom” on, killing the FBI team, and this time, Roman seemed to do what he was asked to do. He contacted someone (multiple someones, it seems) and now Jane, Weller, and the others are in immediate danger. Eek!

We’re coming up on the end of the season. Only five more episodes, including tonight’s. NBC has yet to renew it, so either they need to wrap the Crawford/Roman story line up in these five episodes or we’ll be left with a huge cliffhanger at the end of the season. I’ll be very unhappy if that happens and the show isn’t renewed!

On tonight’s episode, “Clamorous Night,” the team faces a deadly threat on all of their lives. Roman’s allegiances are tested.

See if everyone makes it out alive tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing MacGyver, Hawaii Five-0, & MasterChef: Junior.
