If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/15/13

So happy that this week is over! What a long week it’s been, but the highlight was definitely my parent/teacher meeting with my daughter’s teacher last night. It’s always nice to hear what a well-behaved child she is for everyone else. 🙂 While I have a proud moment about raising a child that is good in public (and occasionally at home 😉 ), let’s see what you should be watching tonight.

Megan’s Choice

grimm1115smallGrimm had a strong start to the season, and now we’re really starting to get into the groove of all the story lines. Nick is finally getting back to himself, only stronger and clearer. He’s moving home with Juliette, and things are moving along for Monroe and Rosalee as the two confess their love and plan to move in together. Unfortunately, before all the couples can begin their happily ever after, there’s a string of Blutbaden (Wolf shifter like Monroe) murders, which are linked back to a new restaurant that turns out to be run by Bauerschwein (pig shifters). The Bauerschwein are out to seek revenge for all the deaths of their kind at the claws of the Blutbaden. Monroe and Nick hatch a plan where they pretend Monroe has gone crazy with anger and Nick ends up shooting him in front of the head chef. Nick then convinces the Bauerschwein to admit that he poisoned the Blutbadens, and then he arrests him. Luckily, Nick didn’t actually shoot Monroe and everyone was okay at the end of the episode—well, everyone except for the Blutbadens, who exploded all over the place.

On tonight’s episode, “One Night Stand,” a lakeside murder investigation leads Nick and Hank to a water-dwelling, mermaid-like Wesen. Michael Welch guest stars.

To see who the mermaid seduces, tune in to NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0, Bones, Haven, Dracula, Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, and Secret Princes

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/27/13

I am headed away for the weekend for my dear friend’s wedding. It should be amazing. There’s something fun about getting all dressed up, watching two people vow their love, and then dancing the night away. 🙂 For now, though, I’ll be chilling at home, watching TV just like the rest of you, so let’s see what’s new and fabulous tonight.

Megan’s Choice

bluebloods927smallIt has been a long summer without a fix of the Regan family. Thank goodness Blue Bloods is returning tonight! Last season, we watched the boys work to take down the Los Lordes gang, especially after we lost Vinny to their violence the episode before. It was a heart-wrenching final few episodes, but I am ready to see what rollercoaster ride the writers take us on this season. At the end of it all, there is still delicious eye candy in this cast, which makes all the drama easier to handle.

On tonight’s season premiere, “Unwritten Rules,” Frank pushes to have a cop killer brought to justice, but Erin drops the charges and releases the suspect due to lack of evidence.

To see your favorite crime-fighting family back in action, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, MasterChef Junior, Say Yes to the Dress, and Undercover Boss.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/6/13

Hi, guys. It’s Friday, and the weekend is almost upon us. For me, it’s been a hellish week at work, so it’s nice to have a chance to sleep in. And next week, there are some summer finales coming up, and very slowly, the new season is starting up again, which is way exciting! But today I’ll give you advice on what to watch right before the weekend.

JJ’s Choice

antmsmallThis is not the first time I’m recommending America’s Next Top Model, but I am really loving this season. Their drama is comparable, but with the men in the house, it’s a little less hysterical overall. And there are some nice new possibilities for the photoshoots, which adds some excitement to the process as well.

Last week, Alexandra left, but this early in the season, none of my favorites (Renee, Phil, or Jourdan) have been in danger. But last week, Jourdan was being a grade-A b*tch with the phone time, so that knocked her down from my number one favorite position.

On tonight’s episode, “The Girl Who’s Scared of Clowns,” arguments among the models start affecting their shoots after the guys play a prank on the girl.

See who stumbles on The CW at 9/8c.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/16/13

Hi, guys. It’s almost the weekend, and I will be enjoying a long weekend off work! Megan & I have some recommendations for what to watch. We hope you will all have a great weekend as well, and let us know what you’ll be watching in the comments.

JJ’s Choice

antmsmallThe 20th season of America’s Next Top Model included a big chance: the inclusion of male models to the competition. So far, it has been a really great addition, because the dynamics seem to have changed. It appears to be a little less hysterical. And some of the guys are really hot, so it adds a little eye-candy for the ladies and gays watching. *If this site had smilies, I would include an angel-icon here.*

On tonight’s episode, “The Guy Who Gets a Weave,” it’s the big make-over episode, where some of the men have meltdowns over their new look. And the photoshoot includes a lesson in chemistry, as the models pose alongside Alessandra Ambrossio and Rob Evans.

Find out who manages with the shoot and who fails on The CW at 9/8c.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/5/12

Yay for being Friday! I am so glad it’s nearly the weekend. It’s been a great week for TV, but my DVR is full. I need the weekend to catch up! LOL We also have plans to spend some time together as a family playing cards and stuff this weekend, so it’s just another reason I’m glad it’s Friday. You? 🙂 Now, see what we think you should be watching to ease you into the weekend. 😀

Jenny’s Choice

Originally my pick was going to be Blue Bloods (it looks like it’ll be a great episode, as always), but then I finally watched the premiere of Made in Jersey yesterday, and I LOVED it. I love that Martina is so smart about figuring out clues and helped to clear the girl accused of murder on last week’s episode. The guest cast is great, too. I love the people at her firm (I hope it doesn’t end up like Franklin & Bash, where I started to dislike their coworkers so much, I stopped watching…) and her family. I also hope the writers make it like Blue Bloods, where half of the fun of the show is the cases, but the other half is the family interaction. I loved that part of the premiere, so I’m hopeful it will continue.

On tonight’s episode, “Cacti,” while going through “jail mail,” Martina finds a letter from a client who was institutionalized after pleading insanity for manslaughter, and is now lucid and claims innocence. Meanwhile, Bonnie introduces her new boyfriend to the family. Enver Gjokaj (Dollhouse) guest stars as Tommy Ligand, Martina’s ex-boyfriend.

See if you fall in love with the show like I did tonight on CBS 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Made in Jersey @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing CSI: NY, Grimm, Fringe, Blue Bloods, & Haven.
