If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/18/12

It’s the first work day of the week, but I’m excited because there’s lots of great stuff on. Hope you had a good weekend & a great Father’s Day, and I hope your Monday isn’t as bad as Mondays can be. 😉 Now, see what we think you should be watching tonight! 🙂

Eureka is on a roll on this final season. On last week’s episode, Carter planned a romantic surprise for Allison after he realized she was kind of going crazy in a house full of people (real or mechanical). Unfortunately, it kind of fizzled when something went wrong with the underwater lab, where she had gone to get some quiet alone time and where he had planned a romantic dinner, complete with a virtual Vincent. It was also Eureka’s version of April Fool’s Day, and they figured out one of the pranks was what was causing the problems. Meanwhile, Carter & Allison were minutes away from drowning as the lab they were in was filling with water. After fighting the entire episode, they realized life was short and they didn’t want to wait, so they had Henry marry them over the comms. That was a shocker, at least for me. I knew they were going to get married before the series ends, but I didn’t know it was going to be a surprise wedding in the last episode! Finally, Holly. Her…essence has been put into Sarah’s computer, but it’s not stable. Even Sarah’s computer isn’t big enough or strong enough to keep her. So Zane is determined to find a way to save her. My question is, will they find a way to make her a “real girl” again, will she live on in a computer somewhere/somehow, or will she finally die completely? I can’t wait to find out, but I’m worried about what I believe will be the answer.

On tonight’s episode, “Smarter Carter,” dosed with a smart drug, Carter’s genius gets out of control as he starts to re-write the laws fo physics, putting his friends and the whole town in danger.

Don’t miss it tonight on Syfy at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Eureka @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/11/12

This past weekend, one of my dearest friends got married to the love of her life in a true fairytale ending style. Thank goodness for waterproof mascara! It was a wedding fit for Once Upon a Time, and I couldn’t be happier for them. Now we move past an awesome weekend (which also included the incredible season premiere of True Blood) and on to a new week of television that is full of so many delicious things to watch that you should really take our advice to heart.

Hell’s Kitchen came out of the gates strong last week, with 2 intense episodes. There are more than enough people to despise on this season, but not nearly enough to like. The men are particularly weak this season, but the women are extra bitchy. Barbie is an incredibly annoying and useless member of the team, but Tiffany, Robyn, and Kimmie all have some serious temper issues. Tiffany, especially. She was a little bit of redneck crazy when she was throwing things around in anger. I’m not sure if the women are going to survive to cook another day if they keep fighting like dogs over a bone, but if they can put their differences aside, I think they will crush the men.

On tonight’s episode, Chef Ramsay once again pits the women against the men for an intense challenge in which they must serve classic all-American fare to some very special diners. While the winning team takes a rewarding and relaxing day trip, the losing team is left behind to clean up the mess.

To see if these chefs can put a lid on the drama long enough to cook, tune in to FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hell’s Kitchen @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also watching/DVRing The Bachelorette, Bunheads, MasterChef, and Teen Wolf.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/4/12

June is here, and I for one can hardly believe it! School is wrapping up for the year, and I can’t believe my little girl is already finishing up grade one. Goodness… Before I know it, she’s going to be going to high school. *sigh* Let’s focus on all the awesome new television tonight before I get myself worked up over how quickly kids grow up. 🙂

Teen Wolf premiered with a superb episode full of excitement, drama, and mystery. I am loving having Tyler Hoechlin (Derek) back on my television. He can be my summer TV boyfriend while Alex O’Loughlin from Hawaii Five-0 is on hiatus. 🙂 What was your favorite part of last night’s premiere? Mine was…everything. 😀

On tonight’s episode, “Shape Shifted,” newly bitten Isaac is on the verge of becoming a werewolf during the next night’s full moon, but when he is arrested for a violent murder, Scott, Stiles, and Derek try breaking him out of jail before he changes in front fo the Argents.

Let the sexy werewolves take over your TV again tonight at 10/9c on MTV. Learn where to find episodes online of Teen Wolf @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, America’s Got Talent, & Cake Boss.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/21/12

It’s been an exhausting weekend – first, I helped my brother move. Then I drove back and forth between three different hardware stores, purchasing/assembling/disassembling/returning replacement gas grill burners until I found one that fit my grill. So I’m kind of happy that this week is relatively light on new TV… I still have a lot of finales to catch up on!

Tonight, after 8 seasons, House finally comes to an end. Last week, House tried to convince Wilson to resume his chemo treatments so they could have more time together. However, in the end, they both decided to just enjoy the final 6 months. But shortly afterwards, House was told that his most recent shenanigans at the hospital had violated his parole and that he would need to return to prison to serve the rest of his sentence. So where do we go from here? Will House somehow avoid prison? Or will Wilson change his mind about the chemo so that he will have time with House once he is released? How will it all come to an end? (I recently participated in a Q&A with creator David Shore to discuss the series and tonight’s finale. You can find the write-up here.)

Tonight, FOX is airing a special 2-hour House finale event, starting with a one-hour series retrospective, “Swan Song,” which includes highlights from the series and interviews with cast members and producers. And in the finale, “Everybody Dies,” House treats an ailing drug addict, which leads him to sift through his life, speculating on his future and exploring his personal demons.

Don’t miss the end to an amazing run on FOX starting at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of House @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Eureka. (Wow – only 2 shows!)

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/7/12

It’s a huge night for TV – especially for fans of certain shows – so let’s get to it. Keep reading to see what we think you should be watching.

Last week’s Castle was epic. Zombies, some honesty finally with Castle & Beckett, Alexis deciding to go to college in New York… The case itself was great, really in true Castle fashion. A guy participating in “zombie walks,” where he dressed up as a zombie and chased people through the streets, got dosed with the “zombie drug” and given the directive to kill a man? I’ve never seen Rick Castle so excited as when he realized the case really was dealing with “zombies.” This season has been leading up one pivotal episode, and that is tonight’s season finale. All of the feelings Beckett & Castle have been dealing with for four seasons plus Beckett’s mother’s mother all culminate tonight, when Beckett learns Castle has been keeping a big secret from her, as well. Will we get complete resolution to not only Joanna Beckett’s murder but also Kate’s shooting in last season’s finale. It is going to be an exciting, thrilling episode and one that fans, whether you’re a “Caskett” fan or not, won’t want to miss. (And for Castle/Beckett shippers, the title of the episode should be squee-worthy…)

On tonight’s episode, “Always,” when the murder of an Army veteran puts Beckett on the trail of the man who shot her, Castle must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice to keep her safe. As secrets are revealed and feelings are put on the table, the lives of the detectives at the 12th Precinct may never be the same.

Don’t miss it tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.
