If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/27/10

As we creep along to this weekend’s much anticipated Halloween holiday, your favorite TV shows continue to showcase some amazingly scary themed episodes. Tonight is no different, as we get some spooktacular episodes of some freaky and hilarious shows! We even get a little bit of sugar and spice and everything nice and a little crime and punishment!

Lisa’s Choice

Get fired up for Halloween just like Claire Dunphy in tonight’s episode of Modern Family! Claire LOVES Halloween, and she makes sure she goes overboard and gets everyone on board each year, and this year is no different. She prepares to make the Dunphy house all a-fright for a major Halloween spookout. Cameron, however, isn’t as enthusiastic about the holiday, due to a traumatic childhood experience. Meanwhile, Jay and Manny take up teasing Gloria about her accent. Watch ABC at 9/8c tonight for some Halloween fright delight mixed with some wonderful laughs. Modern Family @ Clicker

TV News – 10/23/10

Sorry, I missed out on Friday’s news, I was in and out all day. We’re getting ready to move in a week and it’s a little hectic around here. I’m going to make up for the lack of Friday’s news, by bringing you a few bits of news right now.

The CW has ordered full seasons of Hellcats, Nikita and fan favorite One Tree Hill. I’m not really shocked at the list because Nikita has really strong ratings and Hellcats is still holding it’s own. Truth be told I have been watching Hellcats *blush* and I don’t hate it. One Tree Hill has had some strong story lines this season so far, and I’m thinking it’s going to be a great season overall. Unfortunately, no full season pick up for Life Unexpected yet but they have requested more scripts. What are you feelings on these pick ups? Source

More after the jump. Continue reading

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/15/10

Happy hump day! 😀 It’s been a busy week for TV so far, but just think next week is going to be CRAZY with all the new and returning shows coming back! We cannot wait. 🙂 Let’s stick to today for now, and see what us ladies think you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

I’m going to suggest you watch the season finale of MasterChef tonight on FOX. It’s been an interesting competition and I’m looking forward to seeing who excels and wins the title.

The final four include Lee, Sheetal, David and Whitney and it’s anyone’s game. Well, actually I don’t think that Sheetal has a hope or prayer, but everyone else has had a lot of good moments so they could really be fantastic. It’s going to be a great battle and I’m looking forward to it. Tune in to FOX tonight at 8/7c and enjoy the final episode of the season.

Jump ahead to see Jenny’s and Lisa’s choices. Continue reading

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/8/10

The first of the fall shows on network TV start tonight! This is also the night we start to wish we had a third person helping out with these posts, because there are too many shows we want to recommend! Because of that, I will pick one show, Megan will make her pick, and then together, we chose a third show we both think you should be watching. What can we say? It’s HARD to choose just one when you can’t miss so many shows in one night! To see the shows we’ve chosen, read on!

Jenny’s Choice

Out of the three premieres tonight (2 of which are new series), I am most excited about Terriers on FX at 10/9c. Terriers centers on Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue, Life, The Knights of Prosperity, Grounded for Life), an ex-cop who partners with his best friend, Britt Pollack (Michael Raymond-James, True Blood), to launch an unlicensed private investigation business. The duo, both struggling with maturity issues, solve crimes while avoiding danger and responsibility. Co-stars include Laura Allen (Dirt) as Katie, Britt’s girlfriend; Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break) as Detective Mark Gustafson, former colleague of Hank; and Jamie Denbo (Weeds) as Maggie Lefferts, Hank’s attorney.
