I *think* the site problems are behind us! Thank you all for being so patient. 🙂 To make it up to you, over the next week, we’ll have a bunch of giveaways to celebrate the beginning of the Fall season. Some great stuff, including more from USA Network, plus Glee and Modern Family, so keep on the lookout for them! Now, there’s eom great stuff on tonight, so check out what we think you should be watching!

Last week on Melissa & Joey, Joey Lawrence’s real life brothers Andy & Matthew guest starred. I don’t know about you, but I loved both of the episodes from last week. I loved how we got to see Joe’s feelings for Mel come into play again, as his jealousy unfolded. And then we saw Mel taking Lennox to buy her first (or so she thinks!) fake ID and her first concert. Seeing Ryder with Holly and her parents, too… Just all of it was fantastic. I love this show and am so happy we’re getting two more episodes tonight!

On tonight’s first episode, “Play Ball,” after her star player suffers an injury, Mel must find a replacement for the office softball team. She has Joe pretend to be the “office manager” so he can help lead their team to victory. However, Joe’s management skills are more than the office can handle. Meanwhile, Ryder butts heads with Lennox when he asks her to publish his girlfriend Holly’s story in the school blog.

Then on the second episode, “A House Divided,” Joe pays a visit to Mel’s neighbor, Arnie (John Ratzenberger, Cheers), and asks him to do something about his noisy parrot, but ends up finding Mel’s house has been built on part of the neighbor’s property. Joe and Mel must remain civil with the neighbor to gain the land back, however Mel finds being nice to her neighbor to be a little difficult. Meanwhile, Lennox stars in a PSA Ryder films for a school project.

Check out both new episodes tonight at 8/7c & 8:30/7:30c on ABC Family. Learn where to find episodes online of Melissa & Joey @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/31/11

Whew, if last night was slow, then tonight is a TON busier—at least for me. I have so much airing at the same time, I’m having to push some stuff back to recording at 11:00 and midnight! Honestly, though… For me, I’d much rather have it that way! Today is the last day of August, which means tomorrow is the start of September…and the start of September means FALL TV! Yay! Have you voted in the poll on the sidebar? If not, you should! Then keep an eye on it, because it will change again in a few days, and a few more after that, until we get down to the Top 5 shows people are most looking forward to premiering in September. Get your vote in now!

I have to recommend the two new episodes of Melissa & Joey tonight first, because A) the boyfriend’s gone and B) Joey Lawrence’s real life brothers are back and guest starring on tonight’s episodes! If you don’t remember Matthew and Andrew, they have starred and guest starred on TV with Joey before. Besides all starring together in the series Brotherly Love in the mid-90s, Matthew then went on to star in Boy Meets World from 1997-2000 (which I loved! lol), and Andrew (better known maybe as Andy) voiced T.J. in Disney’s Recess, Oliver Beene, the CW’s Runaway, The United States of Tara, as well as guest starred on a lot of other fan favorites, like Castle, Bones, & The Closer. I always enjoy seeing them on TV, so I’m especially excited for tonight’s episodes!

On tonight’s first episode, “The Other Longo,” Joe’s younger brother, Tony (Matthew Lawrence), shows up without any notice and asks to stay at the house. At first, Tony is little more than a nuisance, but Mel changes her views on him once she sees what a wonderful photographer he is. Things take a different turn once some photos Tony shoots of Mel wind up on the Internet.

Then on the second episode, “Teacher/Teacher,” after Ryder gets a bad grade on his history paper, Joe talks to the teacher, Mr. McKay, (Andrew Lawrence) in hopes of raising his grade, but manages to only make things worse. Distressed at how upset Ryder gets with him, Joe goes back to the teacher to sort things out. Meanwhile Mel tries to be the “cool aunt” by taking underage Lennox to a concert.

Check them out tonight on ABC Family at 8/7c! Learn where to find episodes online of Melissa & Joey @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/24/11

Tonight is better than last night for new TV, thank goodness! There’s tons of great stuff on, so our recommendations are plenty! Everyone wish Megan good luck with her move! She was a sweetie and sent me her recommendations for the rest of this week, and of course, Kyle, Lisa, and I are here. So what do we think you should watch tonight? Read on and find out!

Tonight, my first recommendation has to go to the new episode of Royal Pains. For the last few episodes, we’ve wondered when the chips will fall with Paige and her big secret, and tonight is the night. But before that, I just want to mention… I LOVE Kyle Howard (he was my favorite on My Boys), who guest starred as Dr. Paul Van Dyke, who works at the hospital and asked Divya out. His character was interesting and I love him, so I kind of hope he sticks around. (How awesome was it to see Autumn Reeser, from The OC & No Ordinary Family, last week, too?!) Anyway, there’s just so much great stuff going on right now with the show, between Boris & his illness & the car crash with Jill, Divya & her new doctor man, and Hank/Evan/Paige secrets, I can’t help but recommend it!

On tonight’s episode, Hank gets involvved in a case in which he attempts to treat a boy suffering from asthma. Paige is no longer able to hide her secret, and she must deal with the consquences when all is revealed. Divya accepts an offer to go on a date.

Find out the big secret tonight on USA Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Royal Pains @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/17/11

Today is a special day for me, because my husband and I have been married 15 years today! I couldn’t do anything I do without him. He makes me a better person and shows me every day that it’s ok to be as weird as I am, because he’ll love me anyway. So thank you, Scott, for all of that. I love you! Now, on to your regularly scheduled recommendations! 🙂

My first pick tonight pairs up well with my anniversary, not only because I watch Melissa & Joey with my husband, but also because the two episodes tonight are all about love and relationships. Each week, we see the growth of feelings and jealousy between Mel and Joe, and I think this week will be no different. There are two episodes, so don’t forget the 2nd!

In “Young Love,” Mel meets a younger man, George (Scott Michael Foster, Greek), at a business reception she holds at her home, and the two begin dating. However Joe’s concerns over their age difference makes Mel question the validity of the relationship.

Then, in “Mel and Joe’s Anniversary,” Joe reaches out to his ex-wife on their anniversary, only to find her out to dinner with another man. George plans a party for his friends to meet his “girlfriend,” Mel, but she’s a little overwhelmed by the title and the sweet gesture. Meanwhile, Lennox’s feelings for Roman take a dramatic turn and end up getting in the way of their co-editor positions.

See the two episodes tonight on ABC Family at 8/7c & 8:30/7:30c! Learn where to find episodes online of Melissa & Joey @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/9/11

Who watched Covert Affairs last night? I did, I did! It was a great episode—so many big things happened! Danielle learned Annie worked for the CIA and kicked her out because she didn’t feel like her daughters were safe with Annie there (she may have a point, unfortunately), Annie and Auggie had several fantastic scenes together (my shipper heart squeed!), and something is up with Jai. It was a great summer finale, and I can’t wait until it returns with new episodes! Now, on to tonight’s TV. What do we think you should watch? Read on & find out!

Last week’s episode of Royal Pains was BRUTAL for our favorite residents of the Hamptons. Evan proposed (in the photo booth, which was TOO adorable!), and Paige said yes, only to retract her acceptance when she learned he didn’t ask her father’s permission (seriously, who still does that?!). Then when Evan DID talk to him, the General said of course, but he asked that Evan and Paige wait until after the election. Will Paige defy Daddy? I guess we’ll see… Then, you had the whole Raj coming to Divya and being a big douche about her new apartment (which was fantastic!), and then he had the gall to present her with a bill from his even douchier (*laugh*) parents? I admire the way Divya is handling it all, but if it had been me? I’d have smacked him, shoved the bill where his parents couldn’t find it, and then … I dunno. I’ve got nothing. But I’d be SERIOUSLY pissed off. haha Finally, you had Jill, who remembered the men at the crash spoke German. How long before she connects the “It’s not her” to Boris and Marisa? She’s a smart lady. It won’t be long. What will she do when she figures it out? Confront Boris? Ask new mommy Marisa? All of that was on top of the case of the week: scurvy! Seriously? Scurvy? That’s awesome. lol I love this show!

Tonight, a local magician seeks help for the high amount of anxiety that he is experiencing after it begins to affect his performance. Evan learns that Hank has a fear of public speaking after booking him for a television appearance. Matt Lauer guest stars.

Check it out tonight on USA at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Royal Pains @ Clicker.
