Being unable to get to sleep sucks. Like, really. It means that no matter how hard I try and stay awake through the day, I inevitably crash around lunchtime, sleeping until dinner. Ugh. There goes my day. On a good note, I’ll be wide awake for TV tonight!
I was so excited about last week’s series premiere of the new USA drama, Fairly Legal, and I gotta say, it didn’t disappoint. Sarah Shahi was fantastic in her role in the NBC drama, Life, but this new show gives her the opportunity to try out her comedic chops, and she does it brilliantly. Her character, Kate Reed, is a tough, street smart, ballsy, but good, caring mediator, and last week’s episode gave us the opportunity to see her work under extreme circumstances. The rest of the cast is good so far, too, including Baron Vaughn (who plays Leonardo, her assistant), who is a stand up comic who has starred on Broadway, Michael Trucco (as Justin Patrick, her D.A. ex-husband), who was great on Battlestar Galactica, and last but not least, Virginia Williams (as Lauren Reed, Kate’s stepmother). Kate’s father died before we begin the show, and in the premiere, Kate is still dealing with the effects of his recent passing.
On tonight’s episode, Kate mediates a settlement between the State of California and an innocent man who was wrongfully imprisoned for over two decades, but while she tries to put a price on lost time, the freed man puts himself in a mental prison.

Tonight, I think you should be watching Bones, especially because they are revisiting the Gravedigger story line again. That story line was creepy, but it also gave them so many options of where to let it lead them. I’m also hopeful that soon we will see Booth realize he’s still in love with Brennan and declare his love again, but I shouldn’t hold my breathe.
On tonight’s episode, it’s the final appeal of the death sentence for the Gravedigger, Heather Taffet. Before that appeal, she is hit by a sniper’s bullet, but the Jeffersonian team’s ensuing investigation could point to either Booth or Max as a suspect.
Tune into FOX tonight at 9/8c and see who really shot the Gravedigger. Learn where to find episodes online of Bones @ Clicker.
Tonight’s pick is another hard one, with the most anticipated return of The Vampire Diaries and the most talked about The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion both on the agenda. While the mysterious and dangerous town of Mystic Falls will not only be seen (or covered) by the most die hard fans, including myself, it also comes on an hour earlier than RHOBH, so everyone kinda wins out. But my overall pick goes to the Beverly Hills Dames, who have outshined their predecessors to the point of garnering complete jealousy in some cases. (I’m exaggerating).
The watercooler will be abuzz about the RHOBH reunion show, especially after the finale aired the dirty laundry of Kyle and Kim Richards and the downfall of Camille (now Donatacci again) Grammer’s marriage. Also on the platter is the popular battle between Kyle and Camille, which drove the U.S.S. Drama all season long, just about. So don’t miss out on the watercooler fodder the reunion will provide in abundance. Be forewarned though that tonight is the first installment of a two part reunion with part two airing next Tuesday.

Parks and Recreation, oh how we have missed you! Leslie Knope and her band of merry government employees bring good humor to TV, that has been pretty scarce this Fall TV season. Even with the additions to the show in the form of Rob Lowe and Adam Scott, we’re still asking for more. These two newbies bring an added bonus to the show that continues to be just about everyone’s darling.
Tonight, Leslie is stricken with the flu while she plans the local Harvest Festival, while Andy and Ron share some bonding time together.
