If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/17/11

Sunday is the start of a new week, and I for one am looking forward to all the new television it brings. There are a lot of great shows on tonight, so let’s see what we all think you should be watching, because let’s face it, you come here for our opinion. (Which makes you all brilliant by the way! 😉 )

Yes, I know I’m predictable when I choose The Amazing Race almost every Sunday, but frankly, I don’t care. You don’t know, I could be unpredictable in other parts of my life … it’s possible. 🙂 It doesn’t matter how many seasons I’ve watched; I just love the drama and the humour that The Amazing Race brings into our living rooms each week. This season has been particularly exciting, because all of our favorites are back and trying to win the second time around. Have you picked your favorite team yet? I love the cowboys, and I also have a soft spot for Zev.

On tonight’s episode, the teams are faced with a psychological detour in the slick streets of Austria, and a hefty meal proves to be too big for some teams’ stomachs.

Tune in to CBS at 8/7c to see how strong the minds and stomachs of our teams are. Learn where to find episodes online of The Amazing Race @ Clicker.

One of the specials I’ve been looking forward to for months, since I first heard about it, is the TV prequel movie, based on the hit show< Burn Notice, on the USA Network. Burn Notice: The Rise and Fall of Sam Axe is all about one of our favorite spies, Sam Axe, played by the incomparable Bruce Campbell. The movie is all about Sam’s last mission before he retired and joined forces with Michael and Fiona. The movie was shot in Columbia, and friend and Burn Notice castmate, Jeffrey Donovan.

Tonight, while advising a local military platoon on a mission in Latin America, Lieutenant Commander Sam Axe begins to suspect that there are secrets within his ranks and ultimately comes to the realization that he must take action.

Don’t miss spending 2 hours with some of our favorite USA characters at 9/8c. And be sure and check back later for some great questions and answers about the movie with Sam Axe himself, Bruce Campbell! Learn where to find episodes online of Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe @ Clicker.

Mark McGrath was sent packing last week when he took ownership for having a failed concept for the Australian Gold sun care products challenge. Latoya Jackson may have saved her hide in last week’s challenge, but let’s see if she and Hope can tread water for much longer! It’s amazing how so many celebrities can get away with faking it through a task. I guess that’s just how they play the game? But faking it isn’t making it, and only one celebrity will hear the words “you’re hired” and be the next Celebrity Apprentice.

Tonight, the celebrities present a twenty minute steak cooking demonstration. While one project manager doesn’t eat meat, the other unloads most of the task on another contestant.

Watch the drama unfold on NBC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Celebrity Apprentice @ Clicker.
